Ride the only one who knows/Beauty never dies. )
A man without a lower torso, who looks more zombie than alive wheels closer on his wheelchair, reaching out to the pretty young things that he just can't quite reach...or can he? You're not sure you want to find out, as those sickening yellow eyes regard you hungrily.
A woman with the lower half of a fish sits in a shallow, round tank of dank, disgusting water. She flops now and then, reahcing out, her voice a crooning siren's call...but those teeth she's so careful to hide are the teeth of a piranha.
A man looms behind another, leaning forward towards you, leering. His flesh is pierced through again and again with nails, some inverted, seeming to be pushing up through the muscles and outward. There isn't an inch of his body not covered...and if you get too close he may attempt you pierce you as well.
Across from the pierced man is the fire breather. Who doesn't just seem to swallow it...but holds it in his palms, and licks it like a child would a lollipop. She has a cold smile though, animated eyes choosing a victim to hurl fire at. It might be harmless foxfire...or it might be the real thing and burn you. Be careful, either way.

These 'freaks' were no different, to him anyway. He was not afraid, like the times in the hospital, he was not afraid...
But the flashlight stays on hand, and the mask hides any expression that the man might have been wearing. He moves away from the mermaid (he doesn't know of the legend surrounding her) and up to the pierced man. Another tenant in the apartments would have been able to identify a legend or urban myth that could be associated with each of these 'shows' but the detective cares not for these stories. A man of truth; he only ever believed what he could see with his own eyes and these people were-

A sudden flash from the nearby fire breather sends shadows flying everywhere, turning everything just a little more sinister than before. His own form reacts likewise, barely flickering with the shadows caused by the flames. But the momentary change in lighting does more than that...
The bone white mask the detective wears bears a demon design, cleverly etched into it. Apparently, Haibara still felt the desire to continue this game of demon tag.
Choushiro makes his way quietly through the tent, gazing at the freaks as they leer back at him.
