say what you will about my words but i think this election was a truly dissapointing situation. I respect Kerry for just conceding and not dragging it out like 4 years ago but i was really hoping there would be a chance that he would still come back. A kid in my acting class made a good statement today. he said it sais a lot that the 3 states that were involved in the 9/11 attacks all voted for kerry. they obviously felt the terror of the attacks more than most people can imagine yet they must have felt that bush's actions were not the right way to handle it. Washington D.C. voted for kerry by 90%, 90% percent...thats a huge number coming from our countries political capitol. I just hope that Bush will see this and instead of continuing his pointless wars he will try to unite the country and sooth relations with the UN. Most of you know im a very liberal and heavy peace supporter. I just hate having to turn to the news and see the mangled bodies of people from areas that our tanks just drove through. I think enough blood has been shed and enough people have died. There are other ways to fight the war on terror. Alot of the hostility toward america is based on these sorts of attacks. I think we have done enough damage to iraq. I feel the right path here would be to stop the violence and try to guide the country to a more peaceful resolve and to let the UN help us. The UN was built to try to keep peace between nations and all they want to do is help. We've shown our power and feelings towards terorists and istead of feeding their anger lets step back and let the world calm down. There doesn't need to be any more deaths. There doesn't need to be any more violence. Lets work on controlling the problems in our own country this term. Issues like the fight to end gay marriages and developing new WMDs are fruitless. Lets listen to the opinions of this nation. This country was based on the freedom of speach and the freedom of expression so lets nurture these thoughts and not stifle those who feel the need to speak there minds. There is no need to all this rediculous name calling and arguments. People are gonna have different opinions than you and wasting all your effort on fighting them or trying to make them feel like you is pointless. Instead listen with an open mind and understand their views and respect them and they will be more likely to do the same for you. These are just my hopes for this term. My president may not be in office but i still hold on to hope for this country and i believe this isnt over yet. My canidate may not have won but my voice can still be heard and my opinions still matter and i will not just give up. I am a pollitically active spirit and my spirit will not be crushed!
