I WANT TO LIVE IN PARIS
Tonight I was a bitch and missed the Medallion Dinner which I was supposed to serve at for Muslim Students Association. I went to a movie instead. I have go to 3 out of the 5 French films for the Tournees Festival and I missed the first 2, yikes. Aaanyywayyys, the film was SO GOOD. It was called Fauteuil d'Orchestre and, granted it's been Americanized, it made me really happy. It brought back all the good Brevard times when music was life and all I wanted to do was be a pianist. It's a comedy, but it wasn't rotflol good, it was more like still-smiling-two-scenes-later good. AND GODDAMMIT, PARIS IS AMAZING. I wanna go go go and be a homeless waitress who sleeps in concert halls and art galleries!!! The ONLY thing that seemed really wrong to me was the weird love affair between two characters. I have no idea why they threw that in... So yeah, go watch it now and be happy.
Almost as good as the film itself was the discussion afterwards. I was amazed at all the French people who speak practically perfect English. People in general are quite good, quite good.
