edit - OK. here's the deal, please attempt to join this community. you need to go to the community userinfo and find the link that talks about joining it. yes, this requires reading, yes, it may be tough. you need to click a few more links to get in, but again, reading will help this. you then need to log-out and log back in to lj.
then you'll be all set to see protected entries. there will be a test entry to show this. if you can't see an entry with a picture in it, then you aren't in correctly. IM lifeisnostory for help.
all entries made this week will be public to allow people to learn how to use livejournal. i know it's difficult, but i abhor public entries. more than life. and obviously angst is my main form of life, so it's a huge amount.
