Yeah, I've always been impressed with Ron's incredible mind, to think that selling Ginny would make his parents do anything less than sell him to the Gypsies.
I don't think they sold him to the Gypsies, but they might have done if there'd been any Gypsies around when he got home.
I'd imagine he was, at a minimum, grounded until he finished Hogwarts.
That's actually something I need to work out. I've got maybe another thousand words of Harry's New Pets: Flaming Nargles Version written, and it will come up sooner rather than later. It's a difficult balancing act--that version is based a bit more on Rule of Funny than the other one, but it's not so absurdist that I'd feel comfortable with the Weasleys just shrugging and saying "Well, boys will be boys, and Luna talked him into it, and after all Ginny always did want to marry Harry Potter..."

At least he didn't sell Ginny to Harry for a sickle so he could get more Chocolate Frogs, the way one Ron of mine did. ;-)
Thanks!

It's so good to hear from you. I'd been thinking I ought to drop you a note, but, typically, have been also busy as Hades with assorted mess.
Sorry for the overwork, but I'm glad you were finally able to dig out again for a bit. Hope all else is well.
