I was at the house of a person named Texas, and nestling into the couch until I heard there was a trampoline.
Anna and I gravitated toward it, convinced Ashley to come too. So we hopped away for a few minutes, then the sprinklers came on and we fled. Anna said, "Now we have our story for the week," and it reminded me that's it's been a while since I came to tell and read stories in this medium...
So I'm in an apartment now, acting like a grown-up and trying to be a good member of my community. I'm trying to learn to cook, trying to be social, trying to participate in "constructive" activities, and in general trying to be normal without losing it. I was trying to be in model UN for a while, but the other day I went to the pet store instead of going to one of the debates... so I guess that's pretty much the end of that. We started talking about bunnies and chinchillas one lazy afternoon, and somehow, before long, the roommates had gotten all hyped up about the idea of having a sugar glider as a pet. Now, sugar gliders naturally contend for the prize of cutest beings in existence, but I think that the reality of keeping a flying marsupial in an apartment in Colorado would make me want to cry every time I saw it... guess we'll just have to see how that one pans out.
I'm waitressing at the Fez now, and I can pour tea on my elbow! Still makes me nervous, I remind myself to breath... Pouring tea on your foot is much easier, but seems to make a bigger impression on people. Ah, the outsiders will never understand, will they?
