Rating: Weird
When: Right around the time Sengoku showed up
Where: Out and about
Summary: Gakuto's bored and decides to go bug Sengoku. He can't decide if he'd rather be friends with the guy or strangle him. Maybe he should just steal the magical, immortality giving hair...Part 2 because Tezz and I rock at epic giant 20+page logs.
Gakuto winced, not liking to think about just why he’d acted the way he had. “To be honest,” he decided to trust Sengoku, “I was really drunk. There’s a big gap in my head from about the time I went and got Piyo and when I woke up the next day in Yuushi’s bed.”
“Ah, okay.” Sengoku noticed that it was a topic that Gakuto would rather not talk about if he could avoid it. “Ne, we could go over there~” It was a playground, and it was empty, so they wouldn’t have to worry about kids. Well, he himself liked children, but he knew that Gakuto didn’t. It was nice to do childish things once in a while. He did that quite often though.
“Swings!” Gakuto grinned, running over. “It’s not that it bugs me to talk about it.” He sat on the swing. “I just hate that I was so stupid.”
Sengoku let out a laugh at the reaction the swings had on Gakuto. “Okay. It looked like it bugged you though.” Sengoku sat down on the swing next to the other. “But well, it is stupid. But I can’t deny that I’ve done plenty of stupid things myself~”
“Just bugs me that I did some really stupid things.” He groaned and added, “like kissing just about everyone that was there.” Gakuto started swinging. “Someone should have stopped me.”
“Oh, I do that when I’m drunk as well.” Sengoku admitted as he started to swing. “Though I remember it. Makes for quite some embarrassing moments, since I start to make out with people when I get drunk enough. Not only kissing.” So he avoided getting drunk as much as possible, preferring to be.. aware of what he was doing at the time of kissing someone.
Gakuto laughed as he flew higher in the air. “It wasn’t that I didn’t mean to not remember things.” He’d just been really drunk. “I honestly don’t know how I wasn’t more sick.” He’d learned from Yuushi that he’d spent quite a bit of time puking. “There’s a reason why I didn’t leave his bed all day.”
“You can’t control if you remember or not~” Sengoku hummed a tune for a moment before continuing. “Staying in bed all day is nice sometimes. If you’re feeling good, but if you’re feeling sick, there is hardly anything that is nice.” Besides, being sick was boring.
“I hate being in bed all day.” Gakuto grinned and let go of the swing, flying through the air for a few moments before tucking into a roll so he didn’t get hurt. “It’s so boring. The only reason I stayed in it all day was because I didn’t want to clean my apartment and Yuushi was being all nice and awesome.”
Laughing, Sengoku let his swing gain more speed. He wasn’t mad enough to try and do that little stunt, he would just hurt himself in the process. “Mm, it’s nice when it’s really cold outside.” And when you weren’t alone. Then, he could admit, it was just boring.
Gakuto ran back over to the swing to begin the process again. Ever since he was a kid, this had been one of his favorite things to do on a playground. Definitely earned him a few bruises. “Eh, even then, it sucks.” If he was going to be inside when it was cold out, he’d rather be somewhere fun like at his dance studio.
“You’re not one for ever staying still, are you?” Sengoku asked, amused. It certainly didn’t seem like he was much for staying idle.
“Not unless I have to,” Gakuto nodded. “Never have been.” And he doubted he ever would. “I’ve just got too much energy. That’s why it took both Ryou and Jirou to wear me out as a kid.” Now...well, he was a little better. More able to keep himself occupied and less reliant on others to entertain him.
That wasn’t hard to imagine at all. “You got energy enough for ten persons.” At least more than for one person, that was clear, with how much energy he had.
“There’s a reason why my parents put me in dance classes.” That, and he’d begged when he was a kid after accompanying his sister to hers. “I’ll take that as a compliment.” Because it basically was, at least to him.
“So you’ve danced for a long time, I take it?” He himself had started quite early with tennis, but it wasn’t until in middle school that he got into boxing.
Gakuto frowned, trying to remember. “Junko started when she was 7 so I guess that would have made me about 4 or 5.” He nodded. “Yeah, because that was when mom was pregnant with Yoshio.” He looked over at Sengoku. “So, about a decade.” It kind of was a long time now that he actually stopped to thing about it.
“That’s early.” Sengoku grinned at Gakuto. “how about acrobatics? Did you take classes or did you just learn it by yourself?”
“It came with the dancing.” Gakuto swung higher. “I’ve never actually taken any gymnastics classes. It was just taught to me by dance instructors who thought the moves would be useful for me to know.”
“That’s great then. Like two in one~” the orange-hair laughed, enjoying the wind that was created by the speed of the swinging.
Feeling like he was high enough again, Gakuto jumped off. He tucked his feet underneath and flipped, landing on his feet with a grin. “Lucky me.” He walked back this time.
“Yes, lucky you~” Sengoku agreed, giving himself more speed, so that he could go higher. “And it’s really nice to like something so much that you don’t want to stop doing it.”
“I can’t imagine what my life would be life if I didn’t dance.” Gakuto actually tried to think of that for a moment and shuddered. “Sounds like a dull, boring life.”
“Don’t ever stop then.” Sengoku grinned. It was amazing to find something to burn for as early as Gakuto had.
Gakuto sat back down on his swing but didn’t immediately start flying through the air. “What makes you think I ever planned on it?” He snorted, amused.
“I’m sure you didn’t plan that. You shouldn’t stop doing anything unless you want to.”
Sitting on the swing and playing around in the sand with his foot, Gakuto rolled his eyes. “Thank you, Captain Obvious, for be oh so wise and insightful.”
“You’re very welcome~” Sengoku laughed, and his swing started to slow down a bit in speed. “I’m very wise~”
“Share with me all your wisdom, mighty wise one.” Gakuto had trouble keeping a straight face and he knew he slipped a few times.
“Oh, all my wisdom comes from above.” Sengoku struggled with keeping himself from starting to laugh, trying to keep his face straight. “From this part of my head, that is.” He pointed to that tuft of orange that was lying in an entirely different position than the rest of his hair.
“So it’s a valuable bit of hair,” Gakuto nodded sagely, playing along. “Meaning you’d lose your wisdom if I cut it off and took it for myself.”
“It’s very valuable, but you can’t have it.” Sengoku told him, looking completely serious even as he was bubbling with laughter on the inside. “It wouldn’t match with your own hair.”
“That’s what hair-dye is for,” Gakuto answered. “I’m sure I could dye it something close enough that it’d match.”
“You still can’t have it. I live on the energy flowing through it.” Sengoku said as his swing came to an almost stop. “Because I’m actually thousand million years old, so if I don’t have it I’ll dry out.”
Okay, that was it. Gakuto lost it. He started laughing so hard he actually fell off his swing. Sitting up on the sand, he just kept laughing. He started crying, the orange-head’s words just so ridiculous and funny.
Sengoku finally let out the laughter he had been holding inside until now. He didn’t laugh until he fell of his own swing, like Gakuto had, but almost.
“You,” Gakuto tried to talk and found he couldn’t. After a few minutes, when he was more composed, he tried again. “You are insane.”
“Hehe~” Sengoku leaned his cheek against his hand gripping the swing as he regained his breath. “I’ll take that as a compliment~”
“In this context, it kind of is,” Gakuto nodded, wiping away tears.
“That’s good then~” Sengoku grinned over at the other.
Gakuto stood up, brushing the sand off his clothes and shaking his head, chuckling every moments. “You may take the cake on being the strangest person I’ve ever met,” he added. “I don’t know if I want to be your friend or strangle you.”
“Oh, you wouldn’t want to strangle me.” Sengoku’s grin could only widen at that. “You know you want to be my friend~”
“I’m still undecided,” Gakuto reminded. “So, you may want to be careful.”
“I’ll remember that then~” Sengoku nodded, grin not fading in the least.
Gakuto shot a dark look for half a second. That grin and tone made him lean towards the strangling end of the spectrum. But other than that, the guy wasn’t bad at all.
Sengoku didn’t miss the dark look, but pretended he did. It did get a bit bothersome to notice more about others than you did about yourself, but the grin turned into a regular smile instead.
“So, wanna head back?” Gakuto asked after he was sure he’d gotten all the sand off of himself. “It’s getting late and I still have homework to do.” He frowned at the thought of doing his homework but somehow, he didn’t think he could get away with just copying Shishido’s for the assignment.
“Mm, we can do that.” He looked around and realized that yes, it was starting to get late. And even though the unpacking was done, he had a few things to fix.
Gakuto stretched his arms and started heading back in the direction of the building. “Come along, oh wise one. Wouldn’t want you to get lost or anything.”
“Oh, I’m coming. If you’re as wise as me you have to be sure to not get the hair stolen.” Sengoku nodded, following the other, falling into step next to him.
“You’re taking this hair thing way too seriously.” Gakuto shook his head and looked over at the other guy.
Sengoku laughed. “Oh, is it bad~?”
“Weird and random, not bad,” Gakuto corrected.
“Weird and random, huh~ Sounds fun, so I’ll take it as a compliment. Maybe this one was as well~?” Sengoku said as he locked his hands behind his back again.
Gakuto rolled his eyes. “You’re just fishing for them now.” He glanced over at Sengoku. “Not everything needs to be a compliment or an insult. Shouldn’t the all-seeing, all-knowing wise one already have figured that out?”
“Mm, but compliments are nice~ And people seem to be too shy to give them out, most of the time~” But it seemed like most humans worked that way. For some reason.
“They are but if you heard them all the time, you’d just get a big head.” Case and point, Atobe. Gakuto shook his head at the thought of the Hyotei diva. “And that’s not attractive on anyone.”
“But it’s a little bit too rare most of the time. It’s not as if giving compliments make you less worth or anything, but many seem to think that. And I won’t let it get to my head~” Big headedness wasn’t attractive, Gakuto was right about that, but the same went for people who didn’t think much of themselves at all. Everything had a backside after all.
“You just know the wrong sort of people.” Gakuto glanced over. “Or maybe I do.” Possibly both.
“Mm, who knows.” Some more than others, Sengoku guessed. But Gakuto had a point there.
He gave Sengoku a look. “I feel like you know.” Gakuto wouldn’t be surprised at all if Sengoku knew.
“Maybe I do~” Well, quite much at least. But it was hard to know what a person thought, even when you were observant. That’s why they were thoughts, and he wasn’t a mind-reader. It would be convenient, but he wouldn’t want to be one.
A frustrated growl came from Gakuto. “I swear you’re doing that on purpose.”
Sengoku let out a laugh. “Maybe~” Now, he was.
Another growl, this one louder. “Strangling sounds like a good plan....” He wouldn’t actually strangle Sengoku. Just seemed like a good idea at the moment.
“Oh, you’d only regret it~” Sengoku hummed as he stretched his arms.
“Now why in the world would I regret it?” Gakuto asked.
“Because I’m not annoying all the time, ne?” Yes, he did know he was annoying most of the time, but not always. As far as he knew, at least.
Gakuto thought about it for a moment before shrugging. “Only about half the time,” he admitted.
“Oh, less than I thought then~” Sengoku grinned.
“How much were you thinking?” Gakuto looked curious.
“Most of the time but not always.” the orange-hair admitted, nodding more to himself than anything else.
“Only half. Keep it up though and it’ll be more.” Seriously, why Gakuto and why did he have the luck of being around the strange ones.
“We’ll see where I’ll end up then.” He was used to being called annoyed anyway. He didn’t mind. It did mean people thought of him enough to get annoyed by him. Most of the time. Could be strangers too.
“I have a feeling you won’t stay put,” Gakuto sighed. “That you’ll keep moving from one end of the strangling spectrum to the other.”
“Oh, you mean I’ll be able to not annoy you? Much more than I thought would be possible~” Sengoku gave a big smile.
“Nah, you’ll still annoy. But I don’t know if you’ll do it all the time,” Gakuto tried to explain.
“Oh, I’ll do my best then.” To annoy him, or not to, he didn’t know himself. Maybe both.
“Ugh.” Gakuto shook his head. He was never going to win this. It wasn’t in Sengoku’s personality and when he did almost concede like that, it just came out as something frustrating again that made him want to strangle the orange-head.
Sengoku laughed quietly. “Something wrong~?” Never mind that he was pretty sure he knew what Gakuto might be thinking, mind reader or not.
“Everything and nothing about you,” Gakuto shot back.
“Oh, that’s a helpful answer. I’ll make sure to remember that~”
Gakuto glared. “I swear you’re doing that on purpose, being all annoying like that.”
“But it means you get noticed.” Sengoku said, without really thinking about it.
“I think I can do plenty of other things to get people to notice me.” Gakuto stretched and thought about doing a flip to further his point.
“Mm, but you know more impressing things~ And it hasn’t been that long since I started boxing.” And there was some certain people he wanted to notice him more.
“It really that impressing?” Gakuto rubbed the back of his, slightly embarrassed.
“I think it is~” He did, really.
“Always glad to impress then.” Gakuto debated bowing but decided that’d be too much. After all, it wasn’t like he was Yuushi or Sengoku or someone else who seemed to enjoy doing outrageous things like that.
Sengoku nodded. “Remember that it is.” He should know that already, he had told Gakuto himself that he thought it was impressive. But there was many people who tended to forget about that. Their own worth.
“Yeah yeah.” Gakuto waved it off and tried to act like he didn’t care.
“Hehehee~” Sengoku grinned. “Do compliments like that embarrass you?”
“If they did, I’d be a permanent shade of red thanks to Yuushi,” Gakuto pointed out. “Guy’s terrible.”
“It can be permanent? I didn’t know that~” Sengoku’s voice held a slight teasing edge in its tone.
Gakuto gave Sengoku a look. “Did your mother drop you on your head as a child?” That’d explain alot.
“I wouldn’t know if she did~ Am I really that strange~?” Sengoku just smiled.
“You have your moments,” Gakuto nodded.
“Good to know~” Sengoku nodded, smile widening.
Yeah, Sengoku definitely had to be doing this on purpose. There was no other reasonable explanation. Gakuto started walking faster.
“Oh, don’t walk away from me~” Sengoku called after Gakuto, hurrying his step to catch up with the other.
“Why not~?” Gakuto decided to mimic the guy’s tone, keeping up his pace.
“Mm, because it’s not nice~?” Sengoku laughed as Gakuto imitated his tone. This was entertaining, he thought.
“Why’s it matter being nice~?” Gakuto was going to keep it up for as long as he could without bursting out laughing.
“Oh, you mean you didn’t know? Because it makes Ibu-kun mumble. And you’ve noticed how much he mumbles~”
Gakuto shrugged. “Not really,” he admitted, dropping the mimicking. “But then, I usually hang out around Ryou and Yuushi and Eiji and Bunta.” And yes, he really did have to list them all by name.
“Mm, he mumbles a lot~” And was still talking about him having murdered Kamio every time they were in the same room.
“Weird.” Gakuto was glad he didn’t have any weird vocal things. Well, outside of randomly adding ‘miso’ to things but no one really seemed to notice. Or if they did, no one had called him on it ever.
“A bit, yes.” But Sengoku supposed that since it was pretty much a part of the younger boy, it wouldn’t really be him if he didn’t mumble like that.
“SevenLines--they pick the weirdest guys to be their artists.”
“Indeed they do.” It certainly seemed like it. “That includes us as well.”
“There are times when I’d rather not be included in that,” Gakuto groaned. This was one. He didn’t want to be lumped in with the rest of the others if they were all going to be called weird.
“You were the one saying they pick the weirdest guys, wasn’t it~?” Sengoku chuckled.
“Yeah, but only when that list of weird people doesn’t include me,” Gakuto admitted. “Seem reasonable?”
“No, not at all~” It wasn’t too bad being what Gakuto called ‘weird’.
The Hyotei redhead narrowed his eyes. “Why do I not believe you?”
Sengoku laughed this time. “Oh, you can choose if you want to believe me or not yourself~”
A straight answer. That’s all Gakuto was asking for. He kicked the ground in frustration, annoyed.
Gakuto should have noticed by now that it was very hard to get an answer like that from Sengoku. Not impossible, no, but hard. “Oh, poor ground. What’s making you torture it?” he teased.
“If it starts complaining,” Gakuto answered, “I’ll direct it towards you.”
“Aw, would you do that? I’m hurt~” Sengoku answered.
Gakuto raised an eyebrow. “You’d rather I strangle you than kick the ground?” Because that could be arranged too.
“Nope~ I don’t want the poor ground to hurt, but I don’t want you to strangle me either~” Sengoku laughed quietly.
“Then got an alternative solution for this problem I seem to be having?” Gakuto gave Sengoku an amused look, half-curious to hear the response though he had a feeling he’d probably just want to strangle the guy more once he heard it.
“Oh, I don’t know. Try to take out frustration other ways~” In the end, kicking the ground might make the guy trip, and neither of them would gain on him getting strangled. Most likely, at least.
“Like how?” Gakuto shook his head. Yep, that strangling urge was back.
“Mm, I could always teach you some boxing~” Well, he could always offer.
“I’d rather not die, thank you very much.” Though the thought of punching Sengoku and it being legitimate and approved of wasn’t terrible sounding.
Sengoku laughed. “It’s not like you’re supposed to kill anyone in a match. Plus, it’s only be sparring.”
“Yeah, and if you’re the smallest, I’m dead,” Gakuto shot back. Being small helped in dancing. Not so much in sports.
“Nope, you wouldn’t die from it~ Though when training for my couch it hurts pretty much right from the start.” But it wasn’t like he was planning on having Gakuto train with the people there. It would be easier for Gakuto if he was sparring with Sengoku. “Just tell me if you happen to change your mind~ Beating up the punching bag feels pretty good when you’re frustrated.”
“So does strangling the one whose doing his best to annoy me~” Gakuto replied, shaking his head.
“Mm, but you can’t do that more than once on a person~ And what if you get caught~”
“Who said I planned on getting caught?” Gakuto grinned.
“I still prefer to take it out through boxing. It’s better.” Even he had things he got frustrated about. “Maybe I should get some punching bags and have in my room..” he thought out loud. “There might even be an empty room somewhere that I can use.” He turned to Gakuto. “What do you think about that~?” But yes, he thought it seemed like a good idea.
Gakuto shrugged. “Do what you want. Not like I can say much. Ryou ‘n me spent a night rearranging my living room so there was plenty of space for me to dance in it.”
“Mm, I think I’ll do that.” He nodded to himself. “And there won’t be as much time to get to the club I train at now, so I’ll still be able to get some training.” Eyes focused on Gakuto, he continued, “that’s practical~” Meaning the part about Gakuto and Shishido rearranging the room.
“SevenLines stuff does tend to keep us busy,” Gakuto admitted. He just was too stubborn to give up dancing. And it was a related skill so it helped to have it.
“I’ve noticed.” So soon after him joining the others, and he already had a lot to do.
“Pretty much insanely annoying but,” Gakuto shrugged, “that’s the business for you.”
“I guess.” Sengoku nodded. “But it’ll be a lot of fun.”
“You think?” Gakuto raised an eyebrow. He stretched his arms, feeling his shoulder pop.
“Mm, I think so.” And he hoped so, as well. “Maybe not the early mornings, though.”
Gakuto shook his head. “Don’t tell me you hate mornings?” Jirou, Yuushi, now this guy. Everyone around him hated mornings. Not that he was a huge fan but still, it wasn’t like they were terrible either.
“Not hate them, no~ I just don’t want to part with my bed. It’s very comfortable, much more than my old one~” Sengoku didn’t have anything against the mornings or waking up itself though.
“Better than some of my sleepyheads,” Gakuto said, a tone of approval to his voice. “And that I can understand. Though I’d rather just get out of bed when I wake up. Why stay still and be bored out of my mind when I have better things I could be doing.?”
“It feels nice.” Sengoku said. “And I usually don’t just lie around for too long in the mornings. Just when I feel like it.” Because, yeah, it did get boring after a while.
“The worse is when you want to get out of bed and can’t,” Gakuto went on. “Like, when someone’s got you pretty much pinned down and using you as a pillow.” Though, he was fairly good at getting out of those kinds of holds. A childhood with Jirou had taught him well.
Sengoku laughed at that. “I guess you’re right about that.” Not that he usually found himself in such situations. People who slept in the same bed as him turned out not to be very clingy.
“Ugh, I’ve got two big sleepyheads. They both cling.” Gakuto slowed his pace down. “Still have no idea how Jirou can manage to hold both me and Ryou down while he’s sleeping.”
“So he doesn’t just lie on top of you both? That would hold you down somewhat~” Sengoku said, matching his speed with Gakuto’s.
“Somehow yes and no, if that makes any sense.” Gakuto shook his head. It was hard to explain Jirou’s sleeping habits to someone not used to the guy.
“Doesn’t make much sense at all, no, but I guess I can understand it somewhat.” But just a little bit.
“He’s the worst.” Gakuto shuddered a little. “Yeah, don’t ever let Jirou use you as a pillow.”
“I’ll remember that, then~” Sengoku nodded. “If you say so~”
“It’s true. Believe me,” Gakuto warned. “You really don’t want to be his pillow. You’ll never get away.” As it was, he had a hard enough time getting away from sleeping Jirou and he had years and years of practice.
“I’ll try to avoid it~” He didn’t like being stuck, at least not by someone who was sleeping. Cuddling up to another person, sure, but being used as a human pillow was another thing.
“Good. Its just, if you’re ever around him, try to make sure he stays excited and happy. Its exhausting but it’s the most sure way of keeping Jirou awake. Having Bunta around would also help.” Gakuto was not even going to try and understand why his best friend was such a fanboy of his redhead friend.
“I guess I’ll have to do that, then.” Would be fun to see if he could keep him awake. “So he’s a fan of his?” he asked.
“Hey, it’s harder than it looks, keeping Jirou up,” Gakuto shot back, frowning. “Like you wouldn’t believe.”
“Didn’t say it was easy, did I~?” He hadn’t even come across Jirou much yet, either.
“True.” Gakuto’s frown grew as he added, “but that tone you used made it sound like you think it would be.”
“But I use that tone a lot, don’t I?” Sengoku let out a slight laugh. “So don’t go by that~” Because he could say serious things in that tone, and he could say silly things with a straight face. Though the second one was harder.
“And every time, you make me end up leaning more and more towards a certain end of the strangling-meter,” Gakuto growled, feeling like kicking the ground again.
“Mm, but you haven’t done it yet~” Sengoku’s smile widened and he unlocked his fingers, letting his arms rest by his sides as they walked.
“Don’t tempt me,” Gakuto warned. “One of these times, I might just take you up on that dare.”
“Oh, it wasn’t a dare. I prefer to not be strangled at all, thank you.” He was tempted to add something else to that, but decided not to.
Gakuto grinned and looked over. “Didn’t think so. You seem like you like living.”
“Oh yes, very much~” Sengoku nodded. How couldn’t he, when so much fun and interesting things happened.
“Then don’t annoy me and things’ll be good.”
“But it’s fun to annoy people~” Worked as a good way to pass the time, as well.
“Only if you have a death wish.” Gakuto shook his head and sped up, half-wondering if he could lose Sengoku.
Too bad Sengoku wouldn’t let him get too far away, speeding up as well, to continue and walk next to Gakuto. “Mm, nope, I won’t die from it.”
“You sure about that?” Gakuto raised an eyebrow, disbelief evident. “Because it seems like it’s highly likely.”
“Oh, I’ve survived this far, haven’t I?” He didn’t have any plans at dying at all for quite some time.
Gakuto had to give the guy that much. “Only because of your wise and lucky strand of hair.”
“Mm, of course~” Sengoku nodded.
“Meaning if I cut it off,” Gakuto acted like he was seriously thinking about the subject, “you’d lose the immortality it’s granted you.”
“It would.” Sengoku grinned. “But it doesn’t work on just anyone~”
“You’re just trying to save your hair from getting cut.” Gakuto laughed and reached over. Patting Sengoku on the arm, he added, “it’s safe for now.”
Sengoku couldn’t help from laughing as well. “Will you keep it a secret? Wouldn’t want people to come after it.”
“Can’t have everyone gunning for you, now can I?” Gakuto sighed, shaking his head. “Then I’d never get my shot at strangling you if you ever annoyed me too much.”
“So I guess you’ll just have to not tell anyone about it~” Sengoku hummed, grin wide on his face.
“Only if it seems like that someone really could use the knowledge,” Gakuto decided.
“Good enough, I guess~” the orange haired laughed again.
Gakuto glanced over and grinned a little. “So Akutsu already knows this, right?”
“I don’t know~ He might suspect something~” And then, Akutsu would always be Akutsu.
“So it’d be okay if I told him, wouldn’t it?” Gakuto’s grin grew a little. “Since he’s about the only other person I can see wanting to strangle you so far.”
“Oh, he hasn’t tried to strangle me yet, but you do that~” Well, maybe not strangle.
“Obviously.” Gakuto rolled his eyes. “I have a feeling that if he caught you, you’d have been dead a long time ago.”
“Mm,” Sengoku smiled at Gakuto. “maybe~” He didn’t really know why Akutsu hadn’t hurt him worse than he actually had, what with his teasing. It was fun to mess with Akutsu.
“There is no maybe,” Gakuto said as he opened the door of the SevenLines building. “You just haven’t pissed him off enough. That or you’ve just managed to be lucky enough to keep your neck if you have.”
“I’m very lucky~” Sengoku nodded, following Gakuto inside. “Don’t know which one it is~” Not like anything was going to stop him from continuing to bug his fellow Yamabuki-student.
“More like I can see it going either way,” Gakuto answered truthfully as they walked over to the elevators. “And it could also be some of both.”
“Entirely possible~” Sengoku nodded, pressing the button to get the elevator to them. But he still didn’t plan on dying, and with his luck, he didn’t worry about that too much.
Doors sliding open, Gakuto stepped in and hit the button for his floor. “More than entirely possible. It’s pretty much a certainty.”
“It’ll be alright~” Sengoku said, pressing the button to his own floor. “Don’t worry~”
Gakuto scoffed. “Who said I’m worried?”
“Oh, you mean you weren’t? I’m hurt~” But he was more amused than anything else.
The redhead rolled his eyes. “And why do you care?” It wasn’t like they were these great wonderful friends. As it was, he wasn’t sure if he liked Sengoku or not.
“Because you’re entertaining~?” Sengoku answered.
“You don’t seem so sure about that.” Gakuto leaned against the wall.
“Oh, I am, don’t you worry about that~” the orange haired teased.
Gakuto let out a frustrated growl. “I hate you,” he decided, annoyed. That stupid teasing tone.
“No, you don’t. At least not all the time~” Sengoku grinned. The elevator stopped, indicating that they had reached his floor with a ‘ping’.
Gakuto stayed where he was, leaning against the wall. He just gave Sengoku a dirty look as the doors closed and he went upwards to his own floor.
