"When I heard about all these people comparing that kid Bright Eyes to me I thought, 'Alright, I'll check this guy out.' So I put on his record. But after a few minutes I had to turn it off. I was beginning to vomit. I felt it in the back of my throat. Burning. Acidic. That boy is the exact opposite of everything I was trying to do as a kid. It makes me sick. Really sick. To think that people would compare him to me. It makes me feel like everything I tried to do back in the sixties was a complete failure."
