So we got home today and our electricity was off.
The previous resident, I am pretty sure, fucked up some shit and then left without telling anyone. He's been getting notices from the electricity and gas company for a while but we paid for utilities so this? Is not our problem. So we called the company and they said they'd send someone over, but they've not yet arrived. Oh, house problems, what fun. ANYWAY.
Our move's been pretty smooth other than that. The place is enormous -- I'll take pictures eventually -- and Victorian and actually pretty gorgeous. I've been dropping job applications everywhere and people seem reasonably optimistic about my chances of being hired, which would never happen in California. Hah.
More on this later; I'm running low on charge and the electricity people have yet to show their guilty faces. Those scoundrels. >|
