On my quest around the interwebs, my curiosity leaded me to Google Maps.
Actually, it was not curiosity, but I needed it for a project thing I have in mind...
Whatever, point is that I went on a trip to West Tokyo, Takei's favorite place, and I amused myself when the first thing I noticed was this:
First thing I saw, Nishitokyo. Ok, that's where Funbarigaoka is located in Takei's mind. Then I went further.... KODAIRA!? Is there a city named Kodaira??... wait... Musashimurayama? Hanakoganei? Akitsu? Kiyose? Mizuho? Fussa? It can't be seen but there's a Sayama place too. Also Hibarigaoka!
Takei are you serious??? You named all your characters after cities? xD
But that's not quite the best part....

Don't ask me how did I find it but I did. And it was so easy it's scary...
I found our well-known WcDonalds were THIS IS A GUNZ meme was born, in Kodaira City.
I'm still trying to find a place similar to Senjou gakuen and Yamato's place, or even Lune's? Or the antique shop or something. But I'm not positive on those lol
Lately I've been trying to catch up with my basic broken wapanese because I dropped it years ago, so I'm genuinely curious about kanji. The first kanji I ever learned was Yamato's 大 , which means big, and today I learned that the 小 in Kodaira means small... sobs I find it extremely adorable...
I also like the girls' names. Akitsu has big, bamboo and autumn in her name. Makoto has mountain and koto, hehe... Hibari has plum, Kiyose has pine tree.. oh, that's why they have those plants in their respective strips... cool.
After 4 years, Lune finally got a color page in volume 7 character page. I'm ridiculously happy about it.
What I'm not happy about is the fact that there are 38 chapters out, and I've only read until chapter 16. This is totally uncool and I feel like a fool. SNORT THIS IS YOUR FAVORITE MANGA AND YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT'S GOING ON.
Blame the almost simultaneous japanese-american-spanish(not sure if European??) release. The scanlation groups won't even bother translating something that is being published already (I wouldn't either if I could translate lol;;). But because I live in Narnia, I can't get all the volumes because they arrive here (if they do) at the speed of a starfish (0.002 mph) and are overpriced . And because I don't know Chinese, I can't read Chinese scanlations either.
I refuse to buy VIZ censored version with suspicious translated text and unjustified huge tankoubon that won't fit in my shelf.
I plan to get all the Spanish releases if I can find someone who's willing to help...
I'm so picky ;_; but I want the mangas I like edited in a way that is similar to japanese... Eventually I will get them in japanese too rofl this is my guilty pleasure leave me alone
