That's what I expected too...but after I graduated it was home and back to JoAnn's and getting my resume out and going on interviews and two months later I had my first "real job" and in September I had this niggle in the back of my mind - Is there something I should be doing? What's missing? - but as far as thinking about school went...it was hard to remember ever having been there.
No, really, I have been trying to prepare for it. I started with the English-y bits, to build the self-esteem I knew would be crushed when it came to the math. So I started off really well, reading lots of things baout the test, taking the practice tests, figuring out what I need to brush up on...and then it all kinda got buried under things like wedding plans and buying a house and paying of my car, and oh, yeah, how am I going to pay for grad school?!
Fortunately, I've found an answer to that last question, and the car is nearly paid off (I almost own a car I've had for three years! Woot!:)...and if this weekend goes well, I should become debt-free just in time to help pay a house mortgage. Meep.
Are you, by any chance, going to make it to Rogersville this year? John and I will be there on Sunday.
Hm....a point I had not considered, although I am looking at scholarships. Out of curiousity, what was their reasoning behind that statement?
In a roundabout way, though, I am getting paid to go, since one of the perks of working where I do is that they will reiumburse my tuition for pretty much anywhere I go. (The caveat is that they will only pay 70% if the tuition is higher than I would pay if I attended school here, but locally? Kinda hard to find anything pricier than Vanderbilt.)
