To the best of my knowledge, I did not have it. I know I’ve been really careful, but still - I also was fully aware that masks and handwashing and 6’ distances aren’t 100% foolproof.

Arkansas has passed a law banning ALL forms of trans health for all youth (anyone under 18 or 19, I think), including puberty blockers, which are reversible. Alabama has done the same, but with the addition that any doctor who performs these treatments or even RECOMMENDS them is committing a felony. This is done under the claim that they are "protecting" kids.

Multiple states have also banned trans girls (in some cases ALL trans students, but their main target is girls) from competing in sports with their gender identity. (Students must prove their birth gender through the birth certificate in order to play.) They claim that trans girls have an unfair physical advantage over cis girls and would therefore win all the time and prevent cis girls from getting sports scholarships. Again - this is utter crap. A lawmaker was even asked to name a case where trans girls were dominating a sport, and - shockingly - he could not think of any. Meanwhile, Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps has a physical advantage - huge lungs and super-long arms. But you don't hear about anyone wanting to ban HIM.

The sports thing sucks, but it's the laws blocking access to trans health care for youth that really makes me upset.

It's really really awful.
