Yes, I'm definitely curious about books people choose that I hadn't heard of before. I mean, of course I could look them up, but it's more fun to hear about WHY a person chose them.

And thanks - Karen was the most torn up about him, of course, but even Will admitted he'd gone down to the basement and cried. He'd taken instantly to Bennie, which is rare for him.

Oh, I'm so sorry to hear about Bennie! I'm glad he found you guys though - sounds like he got all the snuggles and love that he wanted, even if his life didn't start out that way!

I have to say, the book cover meme didn't grab me - because while there are some books that I grab based on the cover - MOST books that I find via recommendations - are based on other people saying WHY they liked a particular book.

So I am happy that you cheated - and will bookmark this to add some books to my list :)

I'm sorry to hear about Bennie, but it sounds like he'd had a good life once he was with you.

I was tempted to include one of the City Watch books as well - they are my favourite of the Discworld series.

This meme made me want to pull out a bunch of old favourite books and re-read them. If only I had the time!

Agreed - we were all trying to console Karen with that yesterday: that even though we only had him a few months, at least we made him really happy and comfortable during those months.

Bennie does look old ... my old cat had to be let go end of February, but she was 18 and led a long happy life. Though, it's never easy when those little furballs leave us to go across the rainbow bridge... =(

That Rainbow Bridge poem (or whatever you call it) always makes me cry.
