Recent creations
A friend of mine married a little bit later in life (age 40, although his wife is somewhat younger) and, eight years later, they are expecting their first child together this month: a boy. My friend, who has long been into martial arts, has jokingly referred to his unborn son as "baby ninja". Which meant, of course, that I had to create ninja-themed baby gifts for him!
Presenting: the ninja baby quilt:
I don't know how easy you can see in the photos, but the large squares are of a fabric print with little ninjas on them, wearing different colored belts and brandishing little swords.
Also, back when we were in college, aka the Stone Age, the first Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie came out. Despite the utter ridiculousness of the concept, the movie was actually pretty fun, and for awhile, I used to call my friend Teenage Mutant Ninja [name].

The following project was not created by me, but by two kindergarten girls (which means they're just 5 or 6 years old). During indoor recess on Thursday, they were working to complete a "book" that they had co-created: one had done the primary writing, the other had done the primary drawing. I thought it was so adorable and well-done for their age, I had to take pictures of the completed story.

The T-rexes did not know what this thingamajigy was.
Pages 2 and 3: The T-rexes traveled for about a year. They traveled so
long they fell asleep.
Page 4: They made it ("it" being to Hawaii, I think) and they loved
coconuts. (The t-rexes are both saying "Yum.") :D
Is not that adorable?? I loved it.
