Day 7 - Four memories you won’t forget
Day 8 - Three words you can’t go a day without
Day 9 - Two things you wish you could do
Day 10 - One person you can trust
1. "Sweetie" - default term for either kid. They're probably going to start insisting that I stop using it pretty soon. (I remember doing that with my mom, too.) When the kids were little, "Sweetie" was MiniPlu and "Pumpkin" was Two - I really have no idea why, but it's just sort of how it came out of my mouth. Actually, I admit that I sometimes use "Sweetie" for the dog, too. *sheepish*
2. "Crap" - default term for bad things that can be said in front of my delicate little darlings. *snort* Honestly, they probably wouldn't care if I swore a blue streak, but I do try not to go overboard. "Don't even consider pulling that crap." "Sorry to hear you had a crappy day."
3. "Love you!" (Two words, sorry.) Used as I say goodbye to every member of my household as people head off for their day, go to bed, etc.
Will is thankfully on the mend; he's still pretty wiped, but he's progressed to solid food (pretzels, rice). And he managed to eat all six cups of cherry Italian ice I bought for him FOUR HOURS AGO. *bangs head* Anyway, he should hopefully be recovered enough to attend the closing show on Sunday afternoon.
Didn't get much done today, alas. I did bake cheesecake brownies for tomorrow's concession stand (but cheated and used a mix for the brownie base), did a little sewing, played with Two, walked the dog (albeit not very long) in sub-zero (F) windchill, caught up on finances/bill-paying, finally got the car door fixed, and went to TKD at noon (the one advantage to Will being sick - even though my car was in the shop, I could still take his). It sounds like a lot, but it really feels like a whole lot of nothing happened. Sigh. Maybe because MiniPlu and I are going to be gone for much of tomorrow, Will's still getting his strength back, and yet somehow my house needs to be made cleaner by Sunday, when family comes.
Oh, but I did
win a book! This is the second time I've won a book in one of Jama's giveaways; first time, I won her book. Anyway, I feel very lucky and look forward to reading silly poems about the presidents. :D
