Thankfully, MiniPlu's stomach bug was short-lived. By mid-morning Tues the worst was over and she went back to TKD camp on Wed - not quite 100%, but pretty good.
Been kind of busy the last few days. Two had a friend spend the night on Thurs. I strongly suggested they get to bed by midnight. Come morning, Two told me they'd been up until 3am. "You only said we had to go to BED. You didn't say we had to go to SLEEP." *bangs head* I also felt like all I did on Thurs was spend money: health food store, grocery store, WalMart, vet, instrumental music store, gah! On the other hand, I did get a few new items for myself: clearance swimsuit, a purse, a few small items.
Friday Will had two of his coworkers over to hang out. Well, first they went to see Wolverine, and then they came to hang out, stayed for dinner (grilled). Some good, quality Guy Time.
Saturday MiniPlu attended the Red Cross Babysitting Course, which was 7.5 hours long. I did stuff with Two, including getting her some jeans at The Children's Place for $8.50 a pop. Gotta love back-to-school sales. :D
Today I ran 6.5 miles (nearly 11km), went to the grocery store, church and a local annual music fest. This last item I managed to go off to do by myself (although Two wanted to tag along). My main reason to go was to hear
this Celtic group, and I wasn't disappointed. Also got some pretty new earrings at the craft vendors' area. Then we went out to dinner at Friendly's,
where our waitress made at least four mistakes (brought me wrong main dish salad; of two similar sandwiches that were ready for customers, she grabbed the wrong one - the one that still had cheese and onions on it, which Will had asked to be removed; forgot he'd asked for no whipped cream on his sundae, and didn't fully read the coupon we showed her, so she brought MiniPlu the wrong sundae), although she comped us some soup and tea. We suspected she was new, which another employee confirmed, and we did our best to be gracious about it. I mean, everyone has to start somewhere - but it was still frustrating.
Middle school band camp starts tomorrow, bright and early at 7:30am. Let me remind you that MiniPlu is NOT a morning person. :P And school letters should be delivered in the next week or so.
Has anyone else with tween kids become a Teen Beach Movie household? Both our girls LOVED it, and I had to admit, it was pretty cute. Sort of a modern (and somewhat cleaner) Grease. I think at this point, given the number of times certain songs have been replayed, that I could just about sing most of them from memory. :P
