funny story!
so, i was calling my girlfriend who, while looking for a new apartment, has been living with her mom in mississauga as opposed to downtown toronto. the call immediately went to an answering machine and as i heard the voice i realized that i'd dialed the wrong number. however! the voice went on: "Hi, this is Sook-Yin, sorry I missed your call..." and it slowly dons of me that I'm listening to Sook-Yin Lee and that i've dialer her cell phone by mistake! i'm amazed but also sad that no one can share in this with me. after i hang up, i start thinking "hmmm, why would Sook-Yin live in the 905 area code? that makes no sense!" and then it occured to me that i had dialed the 416 area code (Toronto) instead of 905 and that her number was otherwise identical to una's mom's number! so when rolf came home i got him to dial it and confirm that i wasn't crazy and he, of course, totally agreed that it was definitely her.
i find this to have been a very unlikely, and thus interesting, event. neat!
