I would like to draw you attention to a
funny election site. It's got an onion-y kind of vibe and is pretty fair in attacking all the parties equally. Comedy is a greater raison-d'être than political affiliation.
On the subject of comedy.. err the election, I am working my precious little butt off trying to make sure
Paul's dad doesn't get elected in Ottawa-Orléans, as I am doing similarly in all ridings across the country. Who else would fall into a perma-puke loop if Stephen Harper was elected Prime Minister? Well, it's not impossible. I think the best way to avoid that is electing more NDP MPs, especially since a lot of the seats the NDP narrowly lost last time around went to Conservatives thanks to desperate Liberal pleas to "Stop Harper!" in ridings where it was an NDP-Conservative race.
For instance, if you live in Ottawa Centre and wanna, you know, avoid a Conservative MP being elected, the race is between NDP candidate Paul Dewar and the perennially awful Liberal candidate Richard Mahoney so you should vote NDP if that's who you think is the best candidate.
Also, if you're near a radio this saturday afternoon listen to Bandwidth (originally typed as 'Bandwitch', which is a fantastic word that I shall use a lot) on the CEEB because you will most likely hear me to a station ID that I recorded for Amanda Putz when I ran into her at the Manx pub yesterday. It's on at 5 Pee Emm.
