Wow, I can't believe the season has started. I also can't believe how positive I have been this year. I am looking forward to everything, and not feeling stressed! I think that partly may have to do with the fact that although I loved my towing job, it was pretty stressful, with long hours etc etc, and this year my job stays at work. That hasn't happened for 4 years. Normally the boss and I would be sitting at the shop right now, deciding who was taking which day on call for the days off. None of that this year! I did get a chance to go and see my old boss and Tango, I took Tango a couple of bones and the boss some of his favorite chocolate. I miss them terribly!
Wednesday we went out with friends to celebrate the hubby's birthday early, and I had a fun time..it was nice to get together, and I can't wait for new years so the 6 of us can really party together. The hubby seemed to have a nice birthday yesterday, with the exception of his dad going to the hospital for an EKG that turned out be be really bad acid reflux. The scary thing for me was it was indigestion that started it out for my dad, and he did end up having a major heart attack. Fortunately, this worked out for the best.
I had a really great xmas party last weekend, and after food and bowling, I took the bosses wife out dancing. Shes a really good dancer, and she was majorly getting checked out. Even my hubby said he would tap that. *lol* It was a lot of fun, and aside from the going dancing at the bar part, everything thing before was paid for...nice! And, I got a Christmas bonus! Bonus! *lol*
So....today the hubby works until 6, and I slept till 12:30..hehehe, and tonite we are heading out for a xmas party at one of his organization friend's house. Should be a good time, his wife and I always seem to have fun with a few beers between us....Xmas eve will be spent with the inlaws, as per usual..and heading out to the Church service where my hubby will be doing a reading. Xmas day will be at the inlaws also, but my family will be going over there, since my mom works but has from 12-7pm off, she won't have to worry about anything except making dessert and enjoying dinner and visiting. I know that my mom gets way less stressed when she isn't cooking, so, she will have a better time, and in turn, so will I. *whew* Well, hope everyone has a great Xmas this year, and I hope to be able to make it over to anyones house who lives in town to say hi!
