Employed again
Got a really nice offer yesterday...so I decided to check things out today and have a bit of a discussion with the owner. Turned out that he's desperate for a book keeper, and since today is payroll tax remittance day (or you get a fine from the government) I offered to write the cheque for him and got to take a peek at his Simply Accounting. The books look pretty screwed up thanks to the last book keeper, but he didn't even blink when I told him how much I wanted to make.....and theres definite potential for moving up the ladder, sooooooo...
at 5:00pm tonite, I am letting him know that I am up for the challenge. I am planning to start right away working part time for him to get his books all caught up, still taking the week at the end of this month to go to Winnipeg and see my sis and nephew off to Alberta, and to work part time for both him and my current job until the middle of July, when I will start full time for him. Those are my conditions, because I really need to get my house painted!!!! The bathroom can be done over a 2 or 3 day weekend, but the house needs close to a week. Plus I want the 1st week of September off to go to Leth and see my girl. I'm pretty sure that he will work around me, so I am not scared to lay it down. Bonus: 5 men, NO GIRLS!!!! I love work places with all guys, as long as the men understand that I am married and not at all interested! So yeah, there ya go...I knew somehow that I would not be taking July off. And, I'm pretty satisfied with my choice.
