Its been a day

I had a great lunch today. An old friend of mine and I went to lunch at KFC. We went outside and were chatting, and I explained to her why I had been so distant as of late. Last April, as you may have read previously, she went to the city and got married, and I was not invited because it was a family thing. I understood, until I found out that a girl that she is friends with (whom I hate for assaulting me in grade 8) was there. So I tried to get over that. Then if occured to me last May when I was at her son's birthday party, that this other chick had never been at either of the kids birthdays ever, or around at Christmas or anything like I always was. Thats when I started to really feel put out. I ended up missing her daughters birthday in November, and missing Christmas, due to my own selfishness. So, today I told her how I had been feeling and told her that I was sorry, that I couldn't lose her since she has been around since we were 12, and that she is my oldest friend in the world. We ending up having a teary moment in the parking lot of KFC. I do hope she understands that it was me, not her, that was the cause of this, and that we really need to stick together. This will be a new beginning for us I hope. Although with 2 kids she is very busy and so am I, we plan to start having lunch together at least once a month, and making more of an effort to see each other. I feel muchly relieved though. That has been a weight on my shoulders for too long, and with so few people that I consider friends and trust, I need each and every one of them. No use in throwing away 15 years of friendship thru thick and thin over something like that.
PLUS...I got a call from the high school. My bro thats living with us, got punched at lunch. Three guys went up to him while he was watching basketball, pushed him and then punched him right in the side of the head. He's okay, but they sent him home for the rest of the day and I have to go and meet with the vice principal tomorrow morning about it. He did well, just walked away from it, and the vice's were very proud of him. Stupid violence. I hope these kids get suspended or something. They claim that he was egging them on on MSN last week, which was NOT happening since the days that they said he was online, I know for a fact that he wasn't. *shakes head* Stupid kids.
