Wow, it’s been a while.
Everything and nothing all at once goes on here. Life has been pretty standard. Work, go home, hang out, go to bed and get up again. Had a nice Canada Day with my dad, hubby and the kids (at least to some extent,) worked my ass off the next week with the boss gone, and had a regular week this week. The hall got broken into again, but unfortunately for the thieves, there was nothing for them to steal. Suckers. Had a friend from England who was a tow truck driver there come for a shift yesterday, and he seemed to really enjoy himself, as did I, and now the boss is gone again for the weekend, so I am playing boss. I think he likes to leave when there’s drama in the air around here. Employee management sucks. Its not like he meant to leave because of that, but he just seems to plan trips and I always get left to deal with shitty stuff. Oh well, he’s back tomorrow nite, so I’m not stuck for too long. Not like when he leaves for 2 weeks at the end of the month.
The roomie moved out at the beginning of the month into her new big beautiful house, (I’m a little envious, not to any great extent, but it is a really really nice place,) and seems to be pretty happy there. It’s nice to have my house back and be able to do what I want, when I want, and with as much or as little clothing I want. I really do have this thing about being naked at home if you haven’t noticed. It’s interesting to see her thrown into “motherhood” helping out her boyfriend with his 2 year old. She’s a quiet discipliner, which I admire, cuz being involved with kids so much myself, there are just sometimes when you have to yell, (or just want/need to.) We both know that each others home can be an escape if needed, and we will each keep a key for each other, so that’s kewl. I hope at some point I can help her out with the kiddo, if ever needed, cuz I can’t imagine what a change this must be for her. At least when you have the baby yourself, as they grow and change, you have the ability to adapt to the changes, and move things, put things away, and make things more safe for the child as they grow. She is put into a situation where kids have never really been around, so the house isn’t childproofed yet. She’s doing great though.
One major improvement goes on in my house next week. I am finally getting a range hood. $500 or so later, but nonetheless, I have been wishing for one since we bought this place. Yeah for ventilation! Now we just have to finish fixing up the outside and painting the house this summer. Boo to house upkeep! Anyways, that’s about all I think.
