Just dropping by to give my update; late just like always!
I’m still working at the newspaper I mentioned in my last post, though I can’t say it’s my dream job. I guess just because they’re mostly having me work on promotional ads. Then another reason is because I’m pretty sure I’m getting shafted when it comes to my paycheck. The numbers just don’t add up; not to mention I have no idea what taxes she’s been taking off either since it’s a rundown ‘mom and pop’ kind of paper. Did I mention I’ve only gotten one paycheck and it was missing half the things I did on it?
Like I said, not my dream job but what can I do? The past two weeks I spent countless hours making calls, driving around, and just stopping into local business’ to try and promote the annual Turkey give-away. So I’m hoping for a little break from the paper this coming week. I mean, the boss is a nice person but she’s kind of awkward and really confusing… anyways….
I’m also still working my one retail job (I didn’t get the job at the music store thank god!). It’s pretty much the same. Lots of running back and forth between setting shelves’/stocking to the register. Though to be honest It’s really boring me lately. I mean I’m tired of doing the same thing day-after-day. It seems like its never different; even the customers come on a daily basis!
Then with Christmas coming up as well as my car insurance bill I really am strapped when it comes to money too. I keep telling myself every Friday (when I get paid at the shop) that I’m not going to take anything out except gas money, but it never happens. WHY AM I SUCH AN IMPULSE BUYER! I need to stay in…
And even though I’d love to buy AC:Black Flag, Rune Factory 4 and Batman Arkham Origins I’ll hold off…. The last game I did buy was Hometown Story and I’m really hoping it will hold my attention through the winter. Which it might since it’s so simple and a lot less work than all the newer Harvest Moon games I have.
I also haven’t renewed my subscription to FF: A Realm Reborn either… This makes me sad. I feel like I just threw away my money there since I don’t have enough to spare to play it!
