There's not really a whole lot to say about Daniel asking me to marry him. :p We'd made plans a month before, making sure that we'd have that particular day off. He told me that we were going to go back to Moberly to the park where he first asked me out. Other than that, he wouldn't tell me a damn thing. So like, the day of when we were going to go, right after I'd gotten off work, I was talking to my friends Carina and Brandi. Apparently, he'd told them and my manager, Bill, about what he was doing, and they were all smiles and giggles when they'd look at me, the bastards. Anyway, yeah. We spent the day together, ate a small lunch, then just kind of walked around the park. I was standing out by where the railing USED to be where we were leaning when he'd first asked me out, when he went back to his car to get something from the back seat. Which he is SO lucky that I didn't bring my camera, otherwise I would have found what he'd hidden there. Anyway, for those of you who don't know what he did for me on Valentine's Day, he bought a little stuffed dog that had a pouch on it's back. It looked like a delivery dog. And it was, because on Valentine's, the dog was carrying something in it's pouch. A necklace with a double heart diamond deal in a box. Anyway, he said that delivery puppy might make another delivery someday in the near future. He brought the delivery dog out from the car and to me and said, "Looks like the delivery puppy brought something to you again." I was just like, "Oh REALLY." So he opens up the pouch and brings out this little black ring box... which I was honestly expecting like a bracelet or something, but I was kind of expecting that, too. But yes, he takes out the box and looks me right in the eyes. "Right here is where I first asked you out. And now I have another question to ask you, Jennifer." (Cue opening of the box) "Will you marry me?"

You know, I don't understand how some people can go like, totally nuts when the guy they love finally asks. Admittedly, I was extremely happy, but I didn't start bawling. :p I waited until I was telling my friends to start squealing over it like a little school girl. But yes!

We don't have a date set just yet, right now we're looking at gowns and suits and what not. I know we both want it in the Autumn, and we.. well, -I- want to go with the colors crimson, gold and silver. Like an Autumn theme. Something that isn't going to be like high school prom. -_-;; We're trying to save up the money before we have anything done, really. My friends are willing to let me use their cake cutters and all that lovely stuff. Though I might have to choose my own glasses. It might be a year or so before we actually tie the knot. I think my biggest problem is going to be who I'm going to invite. I keep thinking of all these people I want to invite, and I keep wondering if it's right to invite them when we've only just recently become friends, and bleh! I don't know. I can worry about that later, along with seating arrangements. My first worry right now, is how I'm going to tell my family. My mom didn't really like him when she first met him. She told me that she thought he wouldn't be good for me, that he'd be lazy and blah blah blah. Yeah, he's lazy and forgetful, but if I poke and prod at him until he screams mercy, he remembers. Quite well.

Anyway. In other news, I quit my job at Walgreens with an ending pay of $7.75 an hour. And got hired on the spot at the Philips 66 right across the street from them with the starting pay of $8.00 an hour with vision, dental, 401k, and all that other good stuff. So, things are only going to get better from now on. I'm hoping this job thing is going to be a trend, but only better as I move up the job ladder. I still really want to become a massage therapist, maybe into physical therapy as well. I just really like to help people. Make them feel better and stuff. What better way than with my own two hands, right? Aaaand since it's getting late, I'm going to go take a quick shower, hop into bed, read, and wait for Daniel to get his happy butt home.
