The Things I Do When I’m Bored…
So, I did this a while ago but have neglected to post it until now. Those little doll-makers they have online are actually a good way to pass the time, and I wanted to find one where I could make One Piece characters because I thought it would be amusing ^_^. Well, I found one, and…the results are surprising. Some of them look nothing like their characters, although I tried and some I had to modify to get them to look better, but there are a couple…well…you’ll see what I mean!!!
Well, first of all, let’s start with me ^_^. This is kind of my normal style anyway, and the hair color/glasses are about right, although for some reason I’m horribly pigeon-toed here…hmm…
And secondly, since I found the pirate-doll-maker, here’s me as a pirate ^_^. I totally wish I had those boots, because they’re awesome xP
Anyway, onto the One Piece characters!!!
The Straw-Hats
I…love this. Seriously, it’s awesome that a pirate doll-maker actually has a template for Luffy. Like, seriously, that’s no coincidence. So, here’s Luffy.
Likewise, they have a template for Zoro. Well, kind of. I saw the shirt and the hair and was like… “That’s gotta be Zoro!” and then I found his haramaki, and then it was pretty obvious :D. They didn’t really have katana, though, so I substituted with regular swords, and I had to add the earrings in (although they’re so tiny you probably can’t see them anyway…)
Haha, this one turned out okay as well. They didn’t have the proper hair, though, so I had to lengthen it manually. But they had the suit and the glasses, which are awesome xP
The hair was alright for this one, too. I’m not crazy about her shirt (the skirt’s fine), but it looks passably like Nami, at least. She gets to be with her treasure, too.
Robin’s looking very gothic here. Once again, I wish they had a better outfit, but it looks like something she would wear regardless!
I totally had to improv on Usopp, though. I found the overalls but they were completely the wrong color, and I’m sure the hair is actually girl’s hair, but he’s done and I’m marginally content.
…Obviously the other three SHs couldn’t be done, for rather apparent reasons…but I’m fairly happy with the rest!
The Extra Stuff I Found…
They actually have a whole section devoted to fox-people, which I found totally amusing, since Kitsune!Sanji is portrayed so often in the fandom. So here, have some Kitsune!Sanji xP
CP9
This is almost, almost like Kalifa’s outfit, so I had to make one of her. The hair was awesome, as were the glasses, and I really like how she turned out. Moreso than Robin, I think.
There’s totally writing on his cap, which ruins it a bit, and I wasn’t going to take the time to edit his nose, but the hair and outfit work.
I had to add straps on his suspenders. And the beard. But the rest of it is completely from the website, which is awesome xP. They even had the BIRD. I had to edit it and add the tie (I think it was a penguin originally…) but still. I was so happy I could make a Hattori to go with my Lucci :D
Other Characters
Totally girl’s hair. Totally don’t care, because young!Iceburg is hot, and the rest of the outfit and the bandana work.
They have so many mermaid tails as well, and so I found a pink one ^_^. Unfortunately the only green hair they had was long, so I had to crop it, and it’s not spiked like it should be…but I had to take advantage of the mermaid tails!
This is so totally Vivi’s hair. I love it. I also love her dress, because although she doesn’t wear one like that, it looks like something she could wear.
The End
So, that was my adventure in doll-making land. Until next time, fellow adventurers!!
