So this morning I was informed via phone call that my grandmother had passed away. She was my last living grandparent and while it wasn't unexpected (she had been in the hospital very, very ill for days and her body was shutting down so we all knew) it's never easy to hear about a loved one dying, especially when you're hours and hours away and

I am so sorry for the loss of your grandmother. I know what's it like losing someone you love. It get's easier and one day you will be able to think of your grandmother without tears of sadness

I'm...at peace with my grandmother's death for myself, but this week I'll have to be around my whole family and I know a lot of them are more...open about expressing their emotions so that will make it harder because I prefer to grieve in private

Yes it is wonderful that there is such a strong online support system. We all need the support to get through this difficult time.

I know what you mean about the media it really disgusts me but I didn't expect anything less of those vultures.

I read your LJ (I'm a lurker :P) & Tumblr and I knew how much Cory meant to you. When the news broke truly you were one of the first people I thought of. But before I commented I wanted to give you space let you process things a bit and not bombard you with condolences.

It really is, I know my family doesn't really understand so talking to people that do is really helpful. I think I'm...more at peace with everything now, although it's never going to get any less tragic :(

I understand people don't understand. I had to tell my Mom & sister imagine how you felt when elvis died that's how I feel. My mom got it my sister still thinks its hilarious that its hitting me so hard.

Same here its easier now but as it will always it still hurts.
