There is absolutely every reason that Finn would believe that, after what she's said to him about the other club members "rooting" for them to get together. Though I think from her end, it also had a lot to do with her self-imposed idea of being an underdog and wanting what Quinn/popular girls had so she can feel special.

They are really, really cute here. And you've done such a good job of making this NOT JUST porn, but sort of a character analysis that riffs off of Finn's insecurities and takes this scene in a direction that would have changed EVERYTHING.

I definitely think from Rachel's end part of the reason she wanted him was to one-up Quinn and kind of rub it in her face, but I doubt Finn would have picked up on that at this point. I just feel so bad for the guy, because on his end he got: Quinn - 'we're only dating because we're supposed to.' Rachel - 'people are rooting for us to get together, we're supposed to date.' Santana - 'I'm only sleeping with you so that I can become Head Cheerleader,' and Kurt's still the only person that has only ever wanted him because he's just...wanted him.

Kurt mustn't have had an easy time of it in the locker room, especially since at this point Finn was really the only Glee guy that *was* looking out for him, or at least talking to him.

And his birthday's in May, so he'd be about...sixteen-and-a-half, if that makes you feel better about anything xP

I didn't mean that you should have put that in there, or that Finn should in any way know that. From his POV that's EXACTLY what he should be thinking! (And true on the other girls, too.)

Even if they don't gay Finn, I would love for him to date SOMEONE ELSE before the end of the series who 1) likes him for who he is and not what he can do for her and 2) is a self-possessed grown-up who doesn't manipulate him or let him shut his brain off. I don't mean there's anything wrong with a more passive partner who usually goes lets the other one make decisions, because they usually agree and that dynamic works and makes them both happy. It just feels like Finn finds himself in relationships with people who he doesn't actually connect with, but he ends up just going along with what they want because they manipulate or overpower him with drama.

The idea of Kurt trying to shower with those creeps really makes me worry!
