Glee-View 3x01
YAY, GLEE IS BACK!!! AND I LOVED IT!!
-I love that they're setting up Finn-without-Rachel. He needs to figure out what he's doing for himself, not doing whatever she's telling him to or because she's doing it. I really want him to have meatier storylines because Cory's a *fine* actor and he needs the chance to show that off.
-Um, the rest of the intro was a lot like last year's, so that was fun :) Kurt and Rachel were hilarious all episode. Also...skin. Like, lots of it. Kurt, wear low-collared shirts more often, mmkay?
-I don't know what to think about Mercedes' boyfriend. Like, I'm *angry* about that. I'm sorry, but I am. It's just...no. First of all, is it too much to ask for one realistic girl who didn't have a boyfriend in high school but was perfectly fine? Because I knew a lot of those. I *was* one of those. Also, stereotypical much??? Sorry. I...no.
-Also, WTF happened with Sam? I kind of expected the 'oh, his dad got a job elsewhere,' but I honestly missed that the first time and I thought Mercedes had made him, like, disappear or something. I miss Sam.
-Will/Emma don't care. Same with Sue's storyline. It's all kind of the same old, same old at this point. Amusing, but not really new news.
-WHY IS THAT T-REX EATING THE JEW??? WHAT IS THIS??? I WAS DYING!!!
-HAHA, THE SCENE IN EMMA'S OFFICE! THAT SHE THOUGHT THEY WERE DATING! THAT WAS AWESOME :) Also, why did Kurt hop on top of the piano and start posing randomly. Oh, Kurt~
-As people have pointed out, Kurt was a little selfish in the 'me my year my boyfriend must do this oh Blaine you didn't transfer for ME, did you?~' but they were so adorable I can forgive him that.
-The Unholy Trinity referring to themselves as The Unholy Trinity. The Quick moment in the hallway. Quinn. I rather approve of punk!Quinn, even though I hope it won't last. But she's hot. Also, in regards to Puck/Lauren...yes, I loved them, but I love me some Quick even more.
-Oh, Santana. Get it together, girl. You know Sue's not doing it for you. Also, Brittany had some epic one-liners, but that's not surprising xP
-CAFETERIA SCENE. MY BOYS PRESSED TOGETHER. EXCHANGING MEANINGFUL LOOKS. EATING OUT OF THE SAME CHIP BAG. THAT IS ALL. YAY.
-KURT TRYING TO HIDE BEHIND THE TRAY IN THE FOOD FIGHT SCENE. OH, BB~
-Wow, what is Sugar? She's hilarious, and Canadian, and I hope they don't overdo her character because I think she'll only be tolerable in short doses xP
-COACH BEISTE EATING A WHOLE CHICKEN FOR LUNCH.
-I LOVED Kurt and Rachel's song. It was so fun and quirky and Chris got to use his sai-twirling skillz to great effect once more.
-Yay. I mean, I'm not *entirely* sure how I feel about Blaine transferring already, but yay. This scene. Just... &hearts
-As my dad said, "It's a nerdy hipster!!" Blaine + Cheerios was great, and apparently Blainetana friendship is on this year, so I approve of that. Also Finn's faces through this whole song. I thought he liked Blaine, but he definitely Does Not Approve unless he's jealous. Which is possible. I mean, obviously
-RANDOM PIANO FIRE!!
-Um, I didn't really think the Musical Theater Kids were that good. (But Gavroche had me snickering. I love Les Miz) I mean, they were *good*, but I don't think they have anything on Kurt and Rachel. Lindsay was great, though, even if she was never my favourite GleePro contestant. I can't wait until episode 4 because DAMIAN MCGINTY LADIES AND GENTLEMEN. DAMIAN. YES.
-More crying in cars!!! But Kurt was so sweet and great and I was about to hit Rachel until she told him he'd make it, too. They're such besties and I love it, even though I mourn the rather unexplained death of Kurtcedes.
-More Will/Emma blah.
-I still don't understand the Santana thing. I hope she comes to her senses soon enough.
-Also, woah, Finn, jealous much? xP
-Also-also, lookit how happy he is when Kurt says he's running for class president. Aww~
-The last number was fun and great and I AM FOREVER ANGRY THEY CUT OUT THE EPIC KURT/ARTIE SECOND VERSE OF THE SONG. BOO.
-So, all in all, it was really good. And next week looks great! Idina! Idina confronting Quinn! Maybe the return of Quick! Kurt performing and doing the stunt that Chris tweeted was 'life-threatening'! Burt!
