The End of the Longest Holiday Break Ever

Jan 04, 2009 23:40

I can't believe it's the end of the holiday break. The government declared all the weekdays from December 25 to January 4 as holidays. That's 7 days, and including the weekends, that adds up to 11 days of bliss. The regular holidays are December 25, Christmas, December 30, Rizal Day, and January 1, New Year. This time, those holidays fell too close to the weekends, so the President decided to make all the days in between non-working holidays too.

Now, it's over, and I'm guessing a lot of people will have such a hard time waking up tomorrow morning. The break was so long everyone got used to staying home and enjoying the very chilly weather. I spent the long break at home and at the mall, with my family and friends. I didn't do much, but just having the time to do anything I wanted felt really good. Alright, I'm off to bed in a few. Goodbye vacation, hello work.

Edit: I forgot that I actually did some work during the break, including an online meeting! But it was all pretty minor and done from home so those things don't really count.
