I finally said goodbye to my blue hibiscus
Acer Travelmate 3000 last Saturday. It took me a while because I had to burn everything in it and transfer all my files over to my new notebook. It was hard too - I realized that I've become really attached to the pretty little thing. It was with me on several out-of-the-country trips, it got tons of compliments from strangers and friends alike, and it got me through several deadlines and lengthy writing hours at coffee shops. I will miss it so. It served me well.
[For a while, I was using two notebooks. That was tremendous fun. Shame I couldn't keep them both.]
I'm using the
HP Compaq 6910p now. It's a business notebook, so I'm still trying to get used to such a serious machine. The fingerprint scanner, large screen, security features, huge memory, and awesome, loud speakers have won me over. The only thing that's going to take me some time to be comfortable with is Windows Vista (Business Edition), but I'm slowly getting the hang of it. So far, so good. Now if I can only get it
GMasked like my old one, it'll be almost perfect.
