Happy New Year!
One minute. One minute and another year will start. Everyone has gathered on the roof of the building ready to watch the fireworks that will surely follow. Couples holding their hands and praying that the new year will bring them happiness and love. A spark of excitement could be seen in every of the eyes that were watching the sky waiting.
The countdown has begun. Loud voices started to count the seconds that were left.
The small man shyly hold his lover’s hand and unconsciously squeezed it, his breath almost leaving him. He didn’t know why he was feeling like that; breathless, impatient, nervous... Or maybe he did. He was here with his lover, this being the first time they were waiting for the new year to come, together, as in a couple. He searched for the bassist eyes but he was not looking at him; the blonde man had his eyes gazed on the sky above them, looking peacefully and content. This made the small vocalist smile and give his lover a small kiss on the cheek. Reita turned his head to the other and smiled back, a pure and happy smile.
‘Hey, Ru..’ a small kiss was placed on the smaller man’s lips. ‘Happy New Year!’. The vocalist didn’t reply. Or maybe he did but his voice was unheard as loud screams erupted in the same time with the explosive fireworks that were covering the sky.
One thing was sure though. This year has begun perfect. So no matter what would happen in the future, for now they have each other and that was enough.
