So tonight, one of my regulars came in to my work, and we chatted with him for a while, Max and I. He was in some two or three days a week, and I can't remember his name, but I joked and was friendly with him every time. We'd talk about RPGs and joke around about the weaknesses of the PS3s.
Tonight, he told Max and I that he was moving to California within hours to go to DeVry to study video game design, and he wanted to say good bye. Then he turned to me and said that if he hadn't been such a 'raging pussy about these things' to use his own words, he'd have asked me out a long time ago.
I was floored. I maintained eye contact, blushed, told him I respected him for telling me as much and that I sincerely wished him luck in Cali at game design school. I also shook his hand, but I probably should have hugged him or something.
I was friendly and open until he left, at which time I promptly curled up on the floor behind the register and let my burning cheeks cool. Max had missed the confession, and had no clue why I did what I did. But it was quite an event, I never saw it coming. It just took the night in a whole new direction.
It was neat, and sad, and sweet, and felt good. I am glad he thought me approachable enough to tell me at all, and it was very flattering.
On another much sadder note, Brie broke my laptop (see also: punctured screen with a DS Lite stylus) so I am going to struggle through and probably fail NaNoWriMo this year. Which hurts. 21 Last Sunsets will be amazing.

Your Result: The Midland
"You have a Midland accent" is just another way of saying "you don't have an accent." You probably are from the Midland (Pennsylvania, southern Ohio, southern Indiana, southern Illinois, and Missouri) but then for all we know you could be from Florida or Charleston or one of those big southern cities like Atlanta or Dallas. You have a good voice for TV and radio.

What American accent do you have?Take More Quizzes I want to state for the record the whole Boston accent in second place thing is that's where Max is from. Now I say "Arric" instead of "Eric" and "Harrible" instead of "Horrible". -_- But he's so charming I don't mind getting his Boston Bastard accent. Best boss ever.
