have you ever locked eyes with a complete stranger? i did on monday. . . it was the strangest thing. trisha and i were walking back from humanities; it had been (with the exception of a particularly heinous forensics test) a pretty decent day. but while we were talking i happened to look up (as i sometimes do) and met eyes with this random guy. i'm not gonna lie, he was fairly cute. . . but we locked eyes, and i couldn't look away til he'd passed. i'll probably never see him again, nor would i be able to recognize him if i did. it was just a funny thing that happened--it's never happened to me before, and it's not likely to happen again. but yeah. . . in other news, val's declan bennett cd came from england yesterday--and he's incredible--very mellow and great vocals. and i got a 93 on a paper i wrote the night before it was due (the night before val and i left for chicago) on a senate race analysis of all things. . . i think i've become a teacher's pet of sorts too, as i let him borrow a movie, and i'm the only one in class who seems to have read outside of the required materials in high school (i thought everyone knew hamlet?). colin, val and i saw the departed this past weekend, and it was better than i thought it would be. i'm not really a fan of leo dicapprio, but it was still pretty good (and had dropkick murphys music in it, which never hurts). there was just a lot of killing, but some of it was funny (namely the last like 20 minutes). so yeah, that's andi's life recently. . .
