A week has past, but still Tegoshi hasn’t say anything since that night ht promised Masuda he will be okay. But, he did improve, he change his clothes, he smiled; just a little one; but at least he smiled, when Skull come over him to lick his feet or to just sleep beside him.
He even eats some of Masuda’s food, especially the one that the older one cooked. He even makes a face when, for the first time, he
tour his apartment; he makes a face for how messy it is.
Thankfully, that week was a whole day-off week for him. He didn’t know how that happened, but, he just receives a call from the manager and told him that he deserves it. He thought that he is the luckiest of all the people in the world.
The rest of the NEWS calls him, asking him if he’s okay. He loves it, the attention he gets. He even receive a call from Tabe, wishing he’ll get well soon.
One Sunday afternoon, or midday, when Tegoshi did nothing but to stare at the window beside his bed, he heard his door open. He didn’t bother standing to check at whom it is who enters his apartment. It was Masuda, he knew it, and he told him the other day that he’ll drop by today.
“Hey Tegoshi!” Masuda greets him cheerfully.
Seeing that infectious smile of his colleague, he can’t help but smile too. And with that, he receive a grin.
“Tegoshi, why don’t you go outside?” Masuda suggested, “You know, to unwind yourself, or to just look outside and breath some fresh air. Since it’s spring, it’s not so hot. The weather is good,” he says, adding, “And, you might miss something beautiful if you stuck yourself here.”
With nothing else but to agree, Tegoshi nods as he smiles, standing up from his bed and fixing his self.
“Oh! And, I hope you don’t mind me cleaning here.” Masuda smiles softly, “I’ll make you a nice dinner.”
Tegoshi nods and leaves the place with a smile on his lips.

It’s been a week since he stuck himself in the darkness of his apartment. So when he gets out for the first time, he was amaze.
Cherry blossoms were blooming everywhere, the spring breeze gives him a nice feeling. He can’t help but smile, and he make a note to himself to thanks Masuda for suggesting he went outside to explore.
He decided to walk along some playground, watching the children play. Then deciding that he stroll some stores, settling on buying something nice for Masuda.
When he reaches the store place, he sees something, decorations of hearts and cupids and suddenly, it felt that love is everywhere. He then realize that tomorrow will be Valentines day. He pouted, when it hit him that he’ll be alone on the day of hearts.
As he walks to the cake shop, he saw many couple, busy with their own bubble that shows how much they love each other.
To his surprise, Tegoshi smiles at them, contradicting his feelings earlier. He is happy, really happy for reasons he really don’t know. He didn’t bother knowing it though, mind focusing on what kind of cake he will buy.

It was almost 3 in the afternoon when he came home with a box of chocolate cake.
He is surprise when he sees how clean his apartment is. It was really clean indeed, like nothing bad happened for a week. It felt light, everything was organized. From his guitars, magazines, soccer ball even the remote control. He can’t help but smile, and really, he have to say thank you to Masuda for all of this.
He enters his apartment, sees Skull eating some foods in his plate. He wonders if Masuda really hate dogs.
He walks further, reaching the kitchen to put the cake on the fridge so it will be chilled when they eat it later. When he reached the kitchen, he hears Masuda’s voice, singing Anata Ga Tonari Ni Iru Dake De with more emotions. It was like Masuda meant every words of that song.
It then hit him, Masuda was like a torch to him. He let himself fall into that darkness but Masuda was there all the time and give him light like he needed in the darkness. He slaps himself, mentally though, for not noticing things.
He didn’t notice that he started walking towards Masuda, doesn’t notice he started to sing with him.\it surprises him, as much as he surprises Masuda, when he wraps his arms around the older’s waist. Gladly, they both finish the song when he hug him. Because, the way Masuda stutters now will ruin it.
“Te-Tegoshi.” Masuda says
“Shh… I want to stay like this for a while.”
“For a while?”
“No.”
“No?”
“I want to stay like this forever.” Tegoshi says, as he kiss Masuda’s lips softly.
