CHAPTER 10.. SORRY, THIS CAME OUT SO LATE!

Summary: Well, since it's about to end... One pair gets to kiss and make up.
“Tat-chan…Tat-chan…”
Maru slowly opened his eyes, he flipped his ketai that was under his pillow, it was 6:15am. He rubbed his eyes and sat up. He turned to face the other side of the bed and found Junno mumbling Ueda’s name in his sleep. He noticed the beads of sweat trickling on Junno’s forehead and thought that it was weird for the younger man to sweat like that since it was a really cold morning.
“Junno, wake up.” There was no response. “Junno…” he reached for Junno and the moment he felt the younger man’s skin, he realized that Junno was badly ill. He jumped off the bed and rushed to the bathroom. He washed a small towel then went back to Junno and placed the damp towel on the younger man’s forehead. He took his ketai and dialed Kame’s number.
“Moshimoshi! Maru?”
“Ah… Ohayou, Kame.”
“What an early call… What’s up?”
“I have a problem. Junno is sick, he’s burning with fever. Demo, I have to go to work today and there’s no one to take care of him. Would you mind coming over to watch over him today?”
“Anou… I also have work today. I’m just waiting for Jin to finish hi breakfast then we’re off to work. Gomen na.” Kame replied sadly.
“Aahh… Daijobu, daijobu! --- “
“Uhm, Maru…”
“Hai?”
“If there’s someone who would take care of Junno, I think you know who… and where to find him.”
“Oh… yes… of course. I understand. Thank you, Kame.”

Just as Maru was about to knock, Ueda suddenly opened the door. They both looked surprised for a moment.
“Yo…” Maru decided to say something.
“Yo…” Ueda answered back.
“Hisashiburi!” They greeted each other in unison and both gave a slight laugh after.
“Off to work?” Maru asked.
“Not really… I was just about to have a walk… all by myself. Well, what brought you here?”
“Actually, I’m on my way to work but I really needed to drop by to tell you something important.”
“Nani?”
“Eto… Junno is sick; he’s at home right now and has a very high fever. I think that you should go and take care of him.”
Ueda immediately became worried upon hearing the news but he wasn’t able to respond immediately as his mind began to be filled up of his sick ex-boyfriend.
“Why me?” he finally managed to ask as he looked at Maru’s eyes.
“He’s been calling your name unconsciously. He needs you.” Maru answered truthfully then he grabbed something in his pocket --- a piece of paper with their address and a key. “Get there as soon as you can.” He handed them to Ueda and turned hi back to leave.
“Nakamaru!” Ueda called before the other could walk further. Maru stopped on his track and looked back. “Arigatou!” Ueda said gratefully and Maru smiled in return.

Ueda opened the door nervously, he’ll be seeing Junno again. He still can’t believe what Maru has told him… that Junno has been calling his name. Junno despises him, why would he call his name? Ueda was hoping that Junno really did call his name and that he still loves him. He walked in and heard someone coughing in the bedroom. He ran to the bedroom knowing that it was Junno. He went in and found his most beloved wrapped in layers of thick blanket. Ueda ran to him and found that he was still in a semi-conscious state. He placed his hand on Junno’s forehead and then on the neck.
“You’ve got a high fever. I’ll just find an icebag.” He gently said.
“Tat-chan…” Junno mumbled and seconds later, a tear fell from Ueda’s eye. Maru was right.
“I’m here… I’m here.” He held Junno’s hand --- it was hot, definitely because of fever, but Ueda didn’t care, he missed Junno so much and Junno need him now.
“Tat-chan… It’s so cold.” Junno blurted out incoherently, his eyes still tightly shut.
“You’ll be fine. I’m here now, I’ll take care of you.” He brushed his hand on Junno’s cheek before he stood up to get some medicine.

It was already seven in the evening; Ueda had fallen asleep on the chair that he placed beside Junno’s bed. His head rested on the bed and one hand held Junno’s own. The younger man’s fever finally subsided after taking some medicine.
Junno slowly opened his eyes, hi gaze instantly fell on that familiar form on the side of the bed. He blinked then finally realized it was really Ueda holding his hand. He gently took it away and ran his hand through Ueda’s soft hair.
“Tat-chan.” He gently whispered and Ueda stirred from his sleep. He immediately sat up and fixed himself.
“Hey… how long have you been awake? How are you feeling?” Ueda kept his distance from Junno.
“How did you know?”
“Maru dropped by and told me you were sick so I came here to take care of you. Sorry for intruding…” He avoided Junno’s eyes then moved closer to touch Junno’s forehead... “You’re fever is gone, I had your dinner ready and your medicines are on the table too. Don’t forget to drink them, okay. If you don’t need anything else, I’ll go then. Maru should be here any moment so there’s someone who can take care of you.” Ueda motioned to leave but Junno caught his hand. Junno’s grip was so tight as if he’s not going to let go.
“Please stay. I want you to take care of me…” Junno’s voice trailed then they looked at each other’s eyes and soon Ueda’s vision as tears started to flow. Ueda sat on the bed as he broke down to tears and Junno hugged him tight… really tight.
“Why do I love you so much?” Junno asked his crying princess.
“I’m so sorry Junno… please forgive me. I love you so much, please take me back.” Ueda pleaded as he sobbed.
“I realized that I’d be fooling myself if I abandon that one person I live and breathe for. You’re forgiven Tatsuya… I love you.” He soothed his lover with his gentle touch. Ueda buried himself in Junno’s embrace then Junno pushed him back a little, tilting Ueda’s head up and then, kissed him very deeply.

Maru should be here any moment so there’s someone who can take care of you.” Ueda motioned to leave but Junno caught his hand. Junno’s grip was so tight as if he’s not going to let go.
“Please stay. I want you to take care of me…” Junno’s voice trailed then they looked at each other’s eyes and soon Ueda’s vision as tears started to flow. Ueda sat on the bed as he broke down to tears and Junno hugged him tight… really tight.
“Why do I love you so much?” Junno asked his crying princess.
