chapter 5 comin' right up!!
Title: Everybody deserves a second chance (5/?)

Summary: Junno misses Ueda and Maru tries to move on while Jin and Kame's plan seem to work.
The bright sunshine passing right through the window and to his cheeks woke Junno up. He quietly fixed his futon and went to the bathroom to wash up. As he was brushing his teeth, a certain memory suddenly flashed back…
“Junno, how many times will I tell you that when you use the toothpaste, squeeze the tube from the bottom, not from the top.” Ueda mumbled as he brushed his teeth, raising an eyebrow at Junno’s reflection in the mirror who was then washing his face.
“Hundred times more…I guess...” Junno teased as he sprinkled water on Ueda’s face.
“What the…” Ueda immediately finished brushing and glared at his boyfriend. Junno just grinned back and at that, Ueda scooped some water and splashed a generous amount of it on Junno then he ran back to their room giggling. Junno ran after him and caught the older man in his arms, pinning him on their bed.
“You’re really mean Tat-chan…” Junno leaned closer and their faces were only inches apart.
“You started it…” he quirked his lips then closed his eyes when the taller man placed soft, feather-light kisses on his forehead, his nose and then his lips. When Junno stopped, he opened his eyes and found his boyfriend staring lovingly at him.
“You’ll be late for your work if you keep in doing that Junno.”
“So will you.”
“Get off me then.” Ueda said with a smile and Junno gave him one last kiss before standing up.
When Junno snapped back to reality, he found himself blankly staring at his own reflection in the mirror then a tear fell from his eye. He gently wiped it away and wore his usual smile before stumbling out of the room and into the kitchen.
“What’s for breakfast?” he cheerfully asked Maru.
“Just eggs and toast… if you don’t mind.”
“Of course not… C’mon, I’m really starving.”
“Itadakimasu!” Maru started eating then looked at Junno, “Aren’t you gonna be late for work?”
“No. I resigned from my part-time job already so I’m working normally now.”
“I see...” Maru nodded and continued munching on his toast.
“How about you?” Junno returned the question.
“Me? I’m going in two hours.”
“Better hurry up then.”
“Hai!”
Then they continued eating silently then Maru’s keitai rang, “Moshimoshi… Kame?”
“Yes it’s me… How are you Maru?”
“Oh, about last time, I’m really sorry for the commotion. That was so rude of me. I didn’t even welcome guys you properly.”
“You don’t have to worry about that. Actually, the reason why I called… Well, Jin and I wanted to see you. It has been two months now and we really wanted to catch up. Are you free today?”
“Well, I actually have work today, I’ll be off on the weekend though.”
“Can we see you then? And oh, if you know where to find Junno, kindly tell him to come too.”
“Oh wait, I’ll ask him… Oi, baka, are you free this weekend? It’s Kame, they’re treating us for lunch… Right Kame?” Maru teased the man on the other line.
“Ah, sure… No problem with that… It would be Jin’s treat…Are you guys coming then?”
“Yes, we’ll be there.” Maru finally agreed when Junno nodded at him.
“Great!! I’ll just call you back to tell what time and where okay... Ja ne!” Kame ended the call and immediately hung-up even before Maru could say goodbye.
“Are you sure about coming to see them?” Maru suddenly asked.
“Why not? It’s been a while since we last saw them. Don’t you wanna see them?” Junno continued eating his breakfast.
“Of course I want to… But the way Kame said about catching up, I have a feeling it’s about what happened with the four of us…”
“I know…why, is something wrong with that? They at least have the right to know what’s going on.”
“Yeah, but I don’t want them to worry about the situation. We could at least spare them from this mess… they just got back and it’s improper to welcome them with a problem.” Maru explained worriedly.
“That can’t be helped Maru… That’s why they’re called friends.”
Maru stayed silent after what Junno said. When they were done eating, Junno stood up and took their dishes.
“I’ll take care of these. You go and get ready for work. Your such a slowpoke Maru…”
“Look who’s talking… Don’t lecture me baka!!” he whacked the taller man’s head before hitting the showers.

“Mission accomplished…we’re heading for stage 2…” Kame declared with glee and Koki and Ueda heaved out a sigh.
“That was easy… Wait… what was the treat thing all about??” Jin scratched his head.
“Anou… Maru kinda told Junno that we’ll treat them to lunch to make him agree to come. So… I said you’ll treat us…” Kame just smiled.
“They’re together?!” Ueda exclaimed all of a sudde and Kame bit his lip and nodded in response.
"At this time in the morning?!" Koki exclaimed soon after.
“Okay people… Calm down… let’s not speculate on such things… we’ll find out what’s going on when Jin and I talk to them. Until such time. let's not think of such thoughts okay.” Kame reasoned out.
“Mou… No fair?? Why is it my treat…” Jin whined breaking the tension in the room.
“Jin… we’re helping here right?” Kame walked to his direction and sat on his lap. Jin nodded.
"So we'll do everything we can and at this point, that's the least you could do." Kame kissed his forehead and smiled sweetly.
“Fine... But you'll have to pay me back." Jin replied with an evil grin.
"Eh?!" Kame pulled away from him.
"No, no... not financially...silly!" Jin encircled his arms around Kame and pulled him closer, "Hmm... something priceless... You know what I mean Kazu..." he said seductively as he kissed the back of Kame's neck.
Ueda looked pained for a moment seeing the sweet couple then he looked away.
"I'm sorry but would you mind doing that somewhere else?" Koki voced out feeling uncomfortable himself.
Kame immediately stood up and bowed slightly, "Gomen.." then he whacked Jin's head.
"Nande??! What did I do now?" he pouted with his puppy dog eyes.
"Okay, so where were we?'
"I want to see Yucchi.."
"Koki you're really stubborn aren't you? If Maru sees you with us, he'd get mad at us too. Then we'll never be able to fix this." Jin snickered in annoyance.
"But I haven't even said sorry."
"Not now Koki... Maru's not yet ready to face you." Ueda reasoned.
"Don't you want to see Taguchi?"
"Koki what kind of question is that? You know that I'm dying to... but I don't want to risk this only chance."
"But we can't just stand here and do nothing!"
"We have no choice Koki! Kame and Jin are doing their best to help us... to think that this is our mess we should be fixing. Let's not make it hard for them." Ueda's tears fell again as he looked at the couple, "Thank you guys for helping us. Honestly, I don't know what to do already. You just came back and yet, what we gave you was trouble."
"Tat-chan..." Kame reached for Ueda and hugged him tight.
"Anou..." Jin stood up and looked at his friends, putting his hands in his pockets, "You don'y have to worry about us... we've been friends for God knows how long.. we can't just watch you guys fall apart. I may not be that much help to Kazuya bit still, I want to help in every way that I can. Trust us.. we're not going to let you down..."
Koki finally smiled, his first one ever since that stupid mistake happened. He nodded his head, "Arigatou kame-chan, Bakanishi."
Jin nodded back with a smile, "Okay… we’ll see them then… Stage 2 is on…” Jin declared.
