Author’s Notes: A songfic that is the product of me listening to one of my old favorites --- Bad Habit by Destiny’s Child. This one goes for my twin,

freysan. Of all the fics I promised you, this is just one of them…

Yuichi woke up with the feeling of someone nuzzling his neck and cheek. When he opened his eyes and consciousness sank in, the sight of Koki's flustered face and the smell of strong alcohol dawned upon him.

"Why are you sleeping on the couch?" Koki's voice was slurred proving how tipsy he was.

"I was waiting for you. You promised to come home early." Yuichi slowly sat up and rubbed his eyes, then glanced at the digital clock. "It's nearly 3am. Did you mean early morning when you said early?"

"Sorry..." Koki apologized endearingly, wrapping his arms around the taller man and nuzzling his neck yet again. "I ran across an old friend so we had a few drinks. Sorry, Babe... You shouldn't have waited for me anyway."

Yuichi inhaled deeply before responding. "Have you eaten already?"

"Yeah. And I'm really really tired and sleepy now. Shall we go to bed?" he suggested in a sweet tone.

The older one released himself from the other's embrace. "You go ahead. I'll just clean up in the kitchen." He then stood up to leave but Koki had quickly hugged him from behind.

"You're not mad. right?" He asked hopefully kissing Yuichi's nape. When the latter did not answer, he just tightened his embrace. "Aishiteru..." he whispered lovingly.

"I'm not mad." Yuichi finally answered and so Koki released him. True, he wasn't mad... he WAS SAD.

He proceeded to the kitchen taking the "Happy Anniversary" cake from the table and dumped it in the trash bin. When he heard Koki snoring from their bedroom, he let his tears flow.

"Maru!" If Koyama hadn't slapped Yuichi's back, he might still be spacing out up 'til now. "Are you okay? Massu told me, you've been gloomy this past week. What's wrong?" the taller man went to close the door of the dressing room shutting all the noises outside by juniors scrambling to leave NHK Hall after a day's filming of Shokura. He then pulled a chair and sat in front of Yuichi.

"Ne, what if you found out that Shige is cheating on you?" Yuichi's eyes suddenly became watery from the tears that threatened to fall.

Koyama took a breath, then bit his lip as he thought of what to answer. He looked pitifully at Yuichi as the latter seemed to almost break down. "Are you trying to say that Koki is cheating on you?"

Yuichi looked down before answering. "I found suspicious pictures in his phone." He paused for a while and Koyama kept silent letting the older one take his time. "I'm not the type to be sneaking on his private stuff but a suspicious call made me do it." He paused again, recollecting his thoughts for a moment. "I took a call for him a few nights ago. His phone kept ringing so I decided to answer and just pass whatever message it was for him. Then a girl cheerfully greeted me when I picked up thinking that it was Koki. So I said that he was sleeping and just leave her message but she hurriedly hung up after saying that she might have gotten the wrong number."

"Maybe she had the wrong number..." Koyama offered.

"But she clearly said 'Kou-chan' when I picked up... and her number was registered under the name Erika." He looked down on the ground pausing again, it took a few good seconds before he continued. "So I scanned Koki's phone and found a number of messages from her saying. 'goodnight', 'take care' and 'today was really fun'. I found some pictures too..."

By the end of Yuichi's story, his voice was already shaking so Koyama rubbed his shoulder to calm him down. "Have you confirmed this?"

Yuichi just shook his head.

"Well that might really be suspicious but the best thing to do is confront him about it."

Yuichi just nodded like an obedient child then sniffed as he wiped away the stinging tears. Koyama then knelt down and looked up at him encouragingly, "Oh I know! Why don't we go out for a drink? I'll call Massu."

Yuichi nodded again and smiled gratefully.

~**~

"I've been calling you all night but your damn fone was out of reach!" an angry Koki welcomed Yuichi as he entered the living room.

"I just had some drinks with Koyama and Masuda. My phone must've ran out of battery." Yuichi answered calmly avoiding Koki's eyes.

"You could've borrowed Masuda's phone to at least inform me where you are and that you're out having fun with your friends.

"What are you so mad about? I rarely go out with my friends and yet why are you acting like I'm the irresponsible one in this relationship?" Yuichi raised his own voice, the alcohol giving more than enough courage. He glared at Koki before stomping his way to their bedroom.

"What did you say?" Koki grabbed his wrist, holding him a little too tight.

"Why? I'm not the one who forgot about our anniversary... I bet you still haven't realized it until now." He mocked. "And I'm not the one seeing another woman. And as far as I know, I've always stayed devoted to you all this time. It was just too foolish of me to believe that you still love me." Yuichi forcefully pulled his hand away from Koki's grasp.

"What the hell are you talking about?"

"Oh.... Erika... ring a bell?" Yuichi asked with much sarcasm.

Koki froze for mere seconds before heaving a sigh, "Look. She's just an obsessed ex-girlfriend of mine."

"Right." Yuichi nodded bitterly. "Like I would buy that..."

"Yucchi..." Koki's voice suddenly toned down as he came closer to wrap the taller man in his arms but the latter quickly freed himself from the embrace and moved away.

He looked at Koki with sad eyes. "Let's stop this already."

"What?" Koki furrowed his eyebrows, refusing to believe his ears. Yuichi did not repeat his words but chose the moment to open his closet and started taking out his clothes.

"No, no, no. Yucchi, you can't do this." Koki quickly blocked him. "You love me right?" He cupped the older man's face and surprised him with a fierce kiss.

Even though Koki's tongue was demanding for entrance, Yuichi stayed unresponsive and eventually pulled away. "I'm tired Koki. I've had enough." He looked down and answered in almost a whisper. "I do love you." he admitted. "I love you TOO much that it hurts." Yuichi sniffed and Koki could see teardrops on the floor. "But in order to make a relationship work, love should come with trust. And you've broken mine."

"Yuu-chan... no, please..." Koki hugged him yet again but Yuichi wouldn't waver.

"We're over now Koki. I'm letting you go." And with that, he hurriedly continued packing his belongings.

Koki was far too shocked to make another move. He just broken-heartedly watched the other walk out of their house and out of his life.

"Here, loosen up." Ueda placed a cup of steaming coffee beside Yuichi who was still sulking non-stop for the past 2 days. The heavy rain outside even heightened his sadness.

"Thank you." He looked up at Ueda with puffy eyes. He thanked his bestfriend not only for the proffered drink but for all the help he's been giving him. He had crashed in his bestfriend's house and has been staying there since he left Koki. Ueda just let him stay there while Yuichi hasn't found a new place yet. "Is Taguchi mad at me already?" He asked in embarrassment for ruining the two's privacy.

Ueda laughed loudly. "Baka. He doesn't mind at all. In fact, he plans to talk to Koki but I told him not to meddle."

Yuichi felt so ashamed now that his bandmates were also affected with their issue.

"I appreciate the concern but you guys shouldn't worry. We can work this out... I mean at least the friendship."

"If it doesn't, just tell me. I can throw him a punch or two for making you cry."

Yuichi shook his head with a grin. "That is unnecessary though. And please don't be awkward with him just because of this. We can't let personal conflicts affect the group's working relationship, right?"

Ueda laughed yet again, "You know, I've heard exactly the same line from Kame a few years ago."

Yuichi just sighed and recalled when they all had to be as professional as possible when Jin and Kame's relationship went on the rocks and so those two and all the rest of them had to act as normal as possible in front of the camera back then. But in reality, two people were hurting and 4 others were worried but can't do anything about it.

Now Yuichi is considering to maybe ask Kame about tips on how to move on. His admiration for the youngest member just deepened now that he knows how damn painful it feels and yet Kame had kept such a string facade at that time.

He was drawn back from his thoughts when he felt Ueda's hand on his shoulder.

"Looks like someone’s determined to get you back." The smaller man nudged him to look at the window and so he did.

Yuichi bit his lip at the scene before him. There outside Ueda's house was Koki, standing under the pouring rain without an umbrella and holding a large sign saying: "Sorry Yuu-chan. I love you so much. Please come back home."

He quickly opened the sliding window and shouted from above. "Stop making a scene here and go home. This is not like some cheesy movie. I'm not coming back ever. You're just wasting your time."

"I'm not going anywhere unless you forgive me." Koki shouted back.

"Fine. Then stay there for as long as you want." He answered coldly, shutting the window again.

And so he did. Koki stayed outside letting the rain drench him. Yuichi plopped down on the bed with a frown. He willed himself not to glance back at his ex-boyfriend.

He can't let his guard down. He can't let himself be fooled again. Not anymore.

"Are you sure? That idiot might catch a cold." Ueda suddenly voiced out, still

eyeing Koki from his window.

"I don't care."

"If you say so... Ja, I'll be downstairs if you need anything."

For a whole hour, Yuichi managed to not even throw a single look at Koki so he had no idea if the younger man was still actually there. He only moved from his position when Ueda called him for dinner.

"How about Taguchi?" Yuichi asked as he took a seat.

"He's coming already. He finished his billiard game about an hour ago," And just as

Ueda said that, Junno came in rushing. He took off his wet shoes and settled his umbrella aside.

"Okaeri." Ueda and Yuichi greeted in unison but the tall man only gave them a worried look.

"Uhmmmm... I saw Koki outside, sitting like a homeless person on the sidewalk, dripping wet and shivering in cold. I tried to drag him here but he insisted on staying there."

"Until now? It's been more than an hour!" Ueda exclaimed.

"You guys saw him?! Maru, why didn't you ---" Before Junno could finish, Yuichi had grabbed an umbrella and stormed out of the house.

~**~

Koki looked up when he saw a familiar pair of shoes in front of him and then the rain seemed to stop pouring on him.

When Yuichi saw his eyes, he knelt down without hesitation and took the shivering form in his arms. "Baka. baka. baka." Yuichi muttered again and again as he too started crying.

"I told you, I'm not going anywhere until you forgive me, didn't I? I knew you'd come for me. I knew you would."

"I really hate you, you know." But contrary to his words, his embrace just got tighter.

"What? Am I not forgiven yet?" Koki pulled away and asked even if he already knew the answer to that.

Yuichi sighed before Koki leaned in and started kissing him senseless. When they pulled away, Koki sneezed.

"Let's get inside..." Yuichi helped him up and they both walked inside.

~**~

He tucked Koki safely under the warm blankets that Ueda lent him. Apparently, the rapper did catch a cold. Not only that but he was also suffering from fever. When he made sure that the younger man was comfortable he kissed him on his rather hot forehead and slowly went out of the room.

"Sorry for causing too much trouble." He apologized in a soft voice hoping that the smaller man heard him since Junno's video game was making lots of noise.

"What do you plan to do now?"

"We'll go home tomorrow." He admitted to his bestfriend.

"WE?" Ueda raised an eyebrow and the disapproval was clear in his voice.

Yuichi sighed. "Tat-chan, you are quite aware that I'm not a shopaholic. Neither am I an alcoholic. And I haven't even tried to smoke."

"So what's you're point?"

Yuichi looked at the direction of the room where Koki was and crossed his arms before looking Ueda straight in the eyes. "Koki is my bad habit. A bad habit I can't quit."
