Well, Japan was amazing. If you ever have the chance to go, do it!!!
Kyoto was beautiful, and it was one of my favorite places. I love the blend of old Japan and the new Japan. There are old, beautiful temples right next to tall shopping centers.
Kiyomizu-Dera--
This was definately my favorite temple. You can't really see it, but it's a building on stilts and is pretty high up on the side of a mountain. In it there is a place where you can walk with your eyes closed from one rock to another to find your true love. (I did it easy, lol) At another spot, there are three fountains from which you drink. Before I didn't know what fountain I drank from but then I asked and I picked れんあい "love" (again!).
There were a lot of shops nearby and after I visited the temple, I went shopping, of course. I found a Gackt calendar and TONS of Tackey & Tsubasa stuff that was pretty cheap. It was heaven in the little music store I found. I also got a discount, which was awesome. I had zarusoba which are cold noodles you dip into a sauce with green onions. It was very good. One of my very foreign looking friends, a girl, got pointed at by a ton of business men who were talking excitedlty, it was hilarious. Go figure.
One of the many dessert shops' windows:
A ton of school kids came up to me and asked for pictures. I always thought I looked more Thai than Irish, but I guess I looked white enough for them, xD.
And for a finale
Here are some Geisha I saw in the Gion corner of Kyoto:
I hope you enjoy looking at my crappy pictures. I was having camera problems during my trip.
