My mind is filled with silvery stars. . .

Such a sedate song is most likely not the best thing for this early in the morning, could easily put me back to sleep. Wilco is definately one of my favorite bands, and the fact that they are from Chicago just heightens that like that I have for them. For some reason bands, or songs, or movies that I can identify with a place in my life attract me that much more. The not long-lived Mind of the Married Man mainly appealed to me because I could recognize every location they shot at. And it helped that for the last string of shows they used at least 1 song from Yankee Hotel Foxtrot somewhere in the show. Pretty silly reason for liking a show, I know, but that made it interesting to me.

I like those sorts of subtle coincidences, some people consider them to be trite or maybe a tool of some sort to contrive drama or attraction or something. I've heard a lot of people decrying the movie Red from the Three Colors trilogy by Krzysztof Kieslowski because it ends with a coincidence that conveniently ties all three movies together. I thought it was an interesting and fitting way to tie in all of the social commentary of the three movies, some don't agree apparently. However, when I think of the trilogy, I think of the final shot of Valentine, so he must've done something right. I'd highly recommend the trilogy to any film buff.

"Cheer up honey, I hope you can. There is something wrong with me."

Enough rambling for the time being..
