'Namu' means 'Namu'

Well, then, Soul Calibur 2. Quite fun so far...

  • Heihachi doesn't hit as hard as I remember.
  • Mitsurugi's 'Heavenly Dance' (a.k.a. The double uppercut, or 'That looks like a good move') is now 8WR only...
  • Plus his second costume hairstyle is ridiculous.
  • Neither of Yoshimitsu's currently available costumes look reasonable...
  • ...But on the other hand, he may now have a slightly different move set.
  • Xianghua seems relatively unchanged, aside from a single new move and the critical ability to cancel some dangerous things.
  • Cassandra doesn't seem to have the long impale at all, except for the ones that chain off other moves, nor I suspect the floating 8WR unblockable...
  • ...But somehow she seems easier to use than Sophitia did.
  • The whole game seems a bit faster than SC 1...
  • But I'm not yet convinced by the much more extensive voiceovers. Astaroth actually says things! Yoshimitsu says complete meaningful sentences!...
  • ...But, occasionally, he does still say 'Namu Namu'. It is translated as... 'Namu Namu'.

Still, it's getting late now. Probably time for sleep.

Just after one more game...
