It's the sixth of September! And we all know what that means, don't we?
...Well, probably not. It might mean any number of things. This particular thing, however, is that as of today the range limit for .5Mb ADSL has been removed, or so we are led to believe. And sure enough, Demon's online ordering page actually let me through the availability checker!
Of course, it might just be buggy. I might have typed something in wrongly yet again. It might not work at all if there's any bad cable between me and the exchange, and I have yet to sort out actually what I'm going to do about the hardware side of things (convince my Linux machine to detect a real ethernet card, or a random ADSL modem? I wish...).
But you never know...
Is that also a new icon? Yes, it is, thanks to
