Temeraire fiddled with the sleeves on his Changshan, trying to keep them out of the way while he worked on a meal outside his cave. It was much easier to cook when one wasn't so huge and he wanted to do something nice for Brienne. She had been such a wonderful rider after all and deserved nice things.

Brienne of course has no idea, so when she sees a stranger setting camp (and making use of her camp!), her hackles go up. And where is Temeraire?

"This space is taken," she informs the stranger.

Temeraire straightens up and smiles at her. Human smiles were something he'd been practicing, since he had no ruff to express his emotions, and it was a warm and friendly one.

"Yes, it is. I was cooking for you." While the voice doesn't have the deep resonance of the dragon, the accent and tone are the same as the Celestial.

Brienne is so confused right now.

".... For me? Did Temeraire tell you who I was? Do you know him?"

[ao_ji]

Now the dragon is a bit confused.

"I know you and I know Temeraire. I am Temeraire."
