Photos, the old fashioned way...
A couple of months ago, I decided that I needed something to decorate my carrel- something to keep my for getting depressed in my small windowless room in the library- so I ordered prints of a bunch of my favorite photos up on Flickr. The pics looked great. and it was really nice to have something physical to look at.
So after we got back from Mexico a couple of weeks ago I decided I should do the same thine, especially since my mom, in spite of the fact that she is basically computer savvy, still hasn't mastered the idea of digital photos. And my aunts in Italy don't even have computers!
So I printed up a bunch of our vacation pics. Partly for me, partly for my mom, and partly so that we could send them off to my aunts. The came tonight. At about the same time a my dinner guests... and all of a sudden all my dinner guests were gathering around the photos as if they were to most exciting thing they had ever seen... maybe the old ways are not so bad?
