I have no words to describe how I felt on Sunday, or now. I was beyond ecstatic. I screamed, I cried, I laughed, I hugged and kissed complete strangers. I partied on the streets until 3am in Little Italy, and never once felt tired. It was so amazing!
The one low point was having to see a player of such calibre have to leave the game with only two minutes left in extra time. Zinedine Zidane is one of the best football players the world has ever seen, bar none. He was absolute magic in the game against Brazil. I've never seen anyone play like that. While Materazzi may be an ass, that still doesn't excuse Zidane's actions. He's been in enough competitive play to know that people talk shit, and that you need to take that stuff off the field.
Oh yes, and Fabio Grosso: marry me please.
