TroTro

The TinTin movie is on its way, in all its Uncanny Valley glory, so I thought I'd celebrate the moment with this Russian equivalent.

TroTro was created in 1922, and apparently had some loose parallels to Trotsky, the then-popular but later disgraced Soviet polemicist. The final issues of TroTro coincidentally ended with an adventure in Mexico, where Trotsky would later flee and be killed by an icepick-wielding assassin.

In other news, I am sitting on just under 25,000 words to date. The new character has settled in well, and has brought a supporting cast and history with him. He'll probably get a third of the book in all, although if he continues to impress me as much as he has I may give him a little more screen-time.
