Fanfic Workshop for Teens

Jan 14, 2014 13:08

I will be teaching a fanfic workshop for teens at the end of February as part of Butler University’s Butler Bridge program. You can register now online, or call up the Bridge program to register.

It’s open to any student in 8th to 12th grade. And just as a head’s up? I almost always bring cupcakes to my classes. So I’m just saying- workshop, cupcakes… what else are you doing on February 22nd?

Fanfic: Your Creativity, Somebody Else’s Playground

Saturday, February 22nd. 1-3 PM.
Cost: $25
Grades: 8-12

Where’s a great place to learn to write, get great feedback, and make lifelong friends? In online fan fiction communities. This two hour workshop will introduce fan fiction-what it is, how to find it, how to write it, and how to use what you learn with fan fiction in your own original fiction as well.  It doesn’t matter if you’re a het, gen or slash fan-if you’re 8th grade and up, you’re welcome in this workshop.
