Andy is asleep, knocked out by the pain killers Ash made him take. His hands, curled loosely in their fingerless gloves, look like fallen birds.

In the distance, the dawn is breaking, paper-thin and beautiful.

Have I mentioned that I love you? You know, lately?

This is like nothing compared to the epic you're writing - See, you'd think so, wouldn't you? But all this proves is that you can pack more meaning and feeling into 100 words than I can in... [slight pause whilst I find the in-board calculator]... nearly two-hundred times that.

Also, I totally missed it on my first read (the last one distracted me), but: This is where people escape their lives by pretending to have one. Hot damn, Kat, how are you so awesome?

Telling a story in beats of 100 words is pretty amazing. Telling it with such consummately beautiful language is downright awesome. Fallen bird hands, paper-thin dawn and all.

Thank you very much. Lately I've been struggling to finish longer fics so it's great to know I can at least still put out drabbles that people enjoy. Hope you enjoy the 'verse.
