Pairing: Sam Winchester/Claire Bennet
Fandoms: Supernatural/Heroes
Summary: Sam and Claire are pretty much the cutest couple ever, traipsing around the country in Claire's vintage VW van and being adorable everywhere they go.

Claire was excited for another Walmart trip, and Sam followed along, smiling fondly at her as he watched her act like an overgrown kid all through the store. She was like this every time, and he never grew tired of hearing her laugh, or seeing the excited look in her eyes as she showed him whatever random thing had attracted her interest.

The load in the cart was relatively light compared to their usual outings, and Sam easily loaded the bags into the back of the van after they'd checked out and left the store. Claire was distracted by a new magazine, so Sam opened the passenger door for her, and after she got in, kissed her head before closing the door.

He was just pulling into the motel parking lot when the rain had started, a light sprinkle at first. By the time he'd shut the engine off and let Claire out (she always waited for him now, because she knew how much he liked opening her door for her), it had started to come down a little harder. She looked up at the sky, grinning widely. Tossing her magazine back into the van to read later, she stepped aside so Sam could close the door.

"It's not even that cloudy, babe," she said cheerfully. "The sun is still out, maybe there'll be a rainbow!" And without another word she grabbed his hands, moving closer so she could then put her arms around him. "Claire," Sam started in protest, "what're you doing?"

Claire just giggled, standing on her tiptoes to try and kiss him, and he leaned forward slightly to meet her, his question answered. He captured her lips in a tender kiss, his hand coming up to cup her cheek, thumb stroking along the smooth skin of her face. She melted against him, not caring about the slight chill of the drops hitting her exposed skin. It felt nice in the summer heat, and she started to sway with him, though there was no music playing.

Eventually they had to break for air, but they kept close, noses bumping and wearing matching dreamy smiles as they moved together. They were totally in sync, even without music to guide them, their movements were in perfect harmony. Sam's hand moved a little higher to brush the wet hair back from her forehead, then he pressed a kiss there.

"Okay, Claire, you've had your kiss and your dance. Can we get out of the rain now?"
