okay, here's what happened...
i had to stay after at flint festival youth chorus because Dr. Ahmott wanted to hear me sing to figure out what part i should sing (soprano or alto). So I am waiting (a new girl had to go first), and i sang "This is the Day" for him. I waited for his response....ready?
HE ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!!! He went on and on saying things like "Erin you have such a beautiful and strong voice! That was so beautiful! I couldn't hear you when you were singing with the group though so you must know how to blend really well, and i would love it if you would sing the soprano part. We could really use a strong and beautiful voice like yours to help lead since the soprano section is so small. I know you sing alto at Powers so singing two parts will be great training for your voice. Thank you so much, you have a beautiful voice!
i have never been so happy! I thought he didnt even know who i was, but now that he's heard me, he wont just put my name to my face, he'll ALSO put it to my voice!!!
Sorry if it sounds like i'm tooting my own horn, but this is MY journal after all, and I have never been happier! I can not believe how well it went. Dr. Ahmott seems really INTERESTED in me!!!
