Selena Gomez is about to pull her biggest magic trick yet and make herself disappear completely from “Wizards of Waverly Place.”

A reunion special titled “The Wizards Return: Alex vs Alex” premieres on the Disney Channel on March 15 and after that, the 20-year-old singer and actress says she’s finished with the franchise.

“I think this is it,” she said in a recent interview with Speakeasy. “I definitely think this is it.”

“Selena became a star through ‘Wizards of Waverly Place.’ The series delivered four seasons of great stories and strong ratings and we’re thrilled that she and the ‘Wizards’ cast are reuniting to bring our viewers one last grand adventure,” said Gary Marsh, President and Chief Creative Officer, Disney Channels Worldwide, in a statement.

“Wizards” aired a finale in January, but the cast came back for this week’s reunion special.

Gomez is also branching out from her longtime band the Scene, with whom she’s released three albums. Gomez said she recently completed a new music album and she plans to release it this summer and follow that with her first world tour. A spokesperson confirmed the new release won’t feature the Scene.

In addition, Gomez co-stars in “Spring Breakers,” an R-rated feature film directed by Harmony Korine that opens in New York and Los Angeles on Friday, and nationwide on March 22.

In “The Wizards Return: Alex vs Alex,” Gomez’s character is magically divided into two people-a bad Alex and a good Alex. Does the actress sometimes feel split in two as she divides her time between family-friendly Disney fare and increasingly edgy movies and music?

“I don’t really feel divided,” she laughs. “I’m just happy to do projects I’m passionate about.”

She also suggests that maybe Speakeasy is analyzing things a bit too much.

“I’m definitely just trying to do the best I can,” she says. “It’s fun for me to experiment.”
